guys please dont start celebrating right after your cc/dd charge as one of my friend received her file back after a month her cc was charged by cio...reason for returning application was her collage(mgm collage of physiotherapy) is not recognized(though her collage is one of the best in mumbai)...so please wait until ur per..as i can see now how it feels after getting your file back while you already started dreaming about becoming canada's pr..all the best to all and sorry if i made mistake or hurt someone by posting this info..

Did she send WES report if yes, then it should not be returned as WES will evaluate only for recognized institutes.

A last thing I need to know before sending my application. There is an instruction to mention your NOC category as well as NOC code on your envelope. What does they mean from NOC Category? Does it mean broader categories like Health Occupations, Management Occupations etc or something else?

NOC Category means nothing but a broad bifurcation between other categories like you are applying through NOC or thro arranged employment. Just write "NOC Category" on ur envelop along with NOC Code No.

What does it mean when status in ECAS says in process and upon clicking it says we received your application on _____. However, upon looking on the explanation of in process, it means that you have passed the eligibility test.

Yes. They too have applied.
Also they have been asked to submit passports to at BKC. dont know much details. Will post when i get updated.
