Hi everyone,
I've finally landed yesterday at Vancouver airport!
I guess I'm lucky that there were no queues at all: not a single immigrant in the hall for new immigrants, just the officers.
My flight arrived at 2:40pm and I've left the airport building at 3:50pm. I think the longest procedure was to wait for my luggage

The first officer I've met asked only if I have been to any Ebola-affected countries recently or had contact with Ebola patients. The officer at the new immigrants section asked the formal questions about my marital status, my height, if I had any criminal convictions, if I have any dependants and if I've ever been to Canada before. He also prepared a currency declaration form and stamped my B4 forms that list the goods I'm bringing. He actually was surprised to see that I had the B4 forms ready
Another person there gave me a book and some booklets for new immigrants, asked for my email to send some additional links and explained the further steps I need to take.
Overall, it was a nice experience.

One more thing: after I've got my visa and before the landing, I had a possibly material change to my medical status. Nothing really serious, but it requires additional medical attention in future. Just 1 week before the landing I've learned that according to the law, immigrants have to notify CIC if this happens before landing, even though visa office does not warn about it. It's probably kind of a gray area, but it can be grounds for misrepresentation charges if CIC is not notified before landing, and I didn't want to risk.
Officers in Kyiv office were really kind and helpful to arrange their communication with a medical office in time, to clarify if I have to cancel my trip and do further investigations or if I can land. In my case it turned out to be a minor thing and they told me I can land

Passport Transmission Services

If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport along with the passport request letter may be submitted through the Canada Visa Application Centre of your choice.
Please note that there will be a Service Charge for the above services. The details can be obtained here.

How to submit your passport:

Once you receive notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, you can submit the passport and that passport request letter:

In person/ through an authorized representative at the CVAC

To retrieve your passport, you have the choice of;

1. Picking up the passport in person or through an authorized representative at the CVAC ; or;
2. Courier returns facility. The passport will be returned back to the specified home or office address via courier.

The Passport Transmission Services offered by the CVACs will enable you to;

1. Get your passport delivered to the CVO in a timely and safe manner.
2. Track the status of your passport by using the Tracking tool on the CVAC website

How do we send our passports? ( for tamping of visa)
I m talkin abt NDVO.

IS IT BY POST OR THROUGH VIAS cENTRES?

It's been 30 days since I couriered my rprf receipt and emedical receipt and no response yet? What might be the reason ....why I might getting impatient is that now from tomorrow holidays will follow. I just want to be rest assured that ndvo has received my courier or not. Why I am worried is coz on the medical it was written that it must be received by Jan 1. But now I even don't know that my courier has reached them or not.?

Don't worry. NDVO will not reply back regarding the courier acceptance. You can contact the courier company for the delivery details. Wait for your PPR.....

My hubby's colleague is 13th May applicant. His ecas changed today. 4th line added.
He has as of now not recd any ppr email.

While typing this...he recd email for ppr as well.

We are 15th may applicants. By when should we expect ppr or 4th line?
Any guesses anybody?

You can either use postal service OR VFS for submitting Passport. Its better to use VFS for safe transmitting.

Thanks for ur reply but I'm still waiting for my MR that's the main concern of worry for me .

best option is go ahead and log a GCMs notes request. it takes a month but they will send you entire log on your application. If there is something wrong, you get to know and you can fix that before NDVO reaches out to you. And if there is nothing wrong you can atleast stay calm and wait...

has anybody submitted a supplemental file that's more than 2MB?

I was asked to submit an updated IM008 for since I have a newborn. Somehow, since this is an 8 page file, it turned out to be 3MB big. I realized it when I sent it already. hope its okay...

Hi,

I think the applications which received 2nd line updated but not received MR email will require more checks, and that's why it's taking time.

July 7th and later applications will be processed this week.

I learnt that NDVO has vacation only on 25th Dec and New Year Day. Wait for your PPR
Check your ECAS status, it should show medicals received, through which you will come to know that your docs have been received.

Now waiting for PPR request.. I am planning to go in April 2015... anybody have same plan... we can accompany
