regarding CC:
can I use a debit-card (it is not a credit card)with MasterCard logo printed on it for my application fee payment?
I was able to pay my WES fee using this card, its oversea option is also enabled, do you think there will be a problem?

Its been a journey of around 4 months with this forum. I didn't realize how helpful this forum would be which I did after sending my application. You guys helped me a lot to be clear about so many confusions. Thanks to all of you.

!!! By the grace of Allah I received PER couple of hours ago !!! and in the mail it says: Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of .......

My application information:

NOC: 2171
App received date: 28-Aug-2014
Payment mode: DD
PER Received: 17-Dec-2014

I visited SS many times but found it no way to update it. Can anyone please do that for me... Or you can give me instructions how to do that... Love you all :-*

Actually 50% reported SSC certificate is alone acceptable & 50% said no SSC with Affidavit really confused what steps to be taken. :-X
As today my file is 58 days old, tensed with my situation.

Many people have reported getting PER with only the 10th Passing Certificate. There has been no known rejection to date for affidavit not being present for BC proof.
But better to be safe and hence send the affidavit.

The best solution to your situation is get an affidavit created saying the person with both the names is same person . Notary will have a format for this. and send it as an addendum to your file. Mention your passport number on your courier you send so that they can attach it to your file.

Need you advise, please help. My File reached CIC on 15TH Dec.

In Checklist Item : 16 Identity and Civil Status Documents, there is a point related to Name change.
"Legal Documents showing name or date of birth changes( If aaplicable)."

I have changed my name in Passport this year as below:
From: Manpreet Singh (this is the name which is on my all educational credentials, and Job experience letters)
To: Manpreet Singh Dhindsa(adding the Lastname/family Name, this is my name on passport issued in 2014, IELTS score, Bank Documents and ECA report) .

And as a Legal Document related to this point 16 I had only shared a copy of my passport.
Will it solve the purpose or I needed to send the Newspaper Cutting(where i had gone for name change)/Affifavit ?

If I need to take an action now, Please advise the process.

No problem, But Debit card is even riskier than CC as you need to maintain required balance at all times else CIC payment might be rejected. Also CC related issues are also in the case of Debit cards.
Better use DD instead of CC or debit card. In case you are comfortable taking the risks associated with Debit card, go ahead.

I wish to know what is new column all about, its says complete application, does it mean completeness check without CC/DD charge or with CC/DD charge but without PER, I am sorry I am again again asking same question, actually last charge application date for noc 2171 was 2nd sept and I am 17th Sept application, I just wish to knw what are my chances so that I can move ahead and plan other things, I already sent email CIC to knw my status on 26 nov, till now no responce, Please help me and provide your valuable view on this.

I take care of the balance and transfer limitations and ocerseas transaction enabled, what could be other risks?

I will send revised Affidavit by Sunday, as I need to get it from India – Hyderabad
Will dispatch it on Sunday i.e. 21st December expected to reach CIC on 28th – 29th December, please note it will be 67th day from my first submission
Should I also send an email alert in first place or must wait until the courier reach and get signed

Shah and Diplo have already explained this Hussain.
The new Column "Applications pending for MI acceptance review" include complete applications, meaning
1. complete apps where CC/DD charging/encashment pending
2. charged apps waiting for eligibility check for PER.
3. Apps rejected for eligibility and NER given.

Not sure if new apps are considered in the 161 nos. for 2171. At the most few dates after 2nd Sept might be included, but 17th Sept seems a little too far.
The number of complete pending apps looks so large as probably earlier apps which haven't still received PER since may2014 have also been included in this. Also NER is also part of this.
