I really don't want to steer the conversation elsewhere but helping each other however I agree with your statement & dear gentleman 'three star' has shared a perspective; which does sound scary nonetheless quite far from complete reality. And lets not comment on racism; it is here as well, I mean in India. I am not aware if there is an agency which ranks countries on being racist; but if there is one, I won't be surprised if we are in the top quarter.

And like Palak said; we are choosing the country not the other way around. So think twice or maybe more. Plan. Be scared. But don't blame Canada if things don't work like you planned.

You are right Frasiercrane;Things are not easy in Canada;Life is not only tough but also rigid over attitude. This not a lottery or jackpot. The persons moving there must be strong and ready to bear these hardhsips.

PER on 10/10/14. Received 2nd line update on 5th December " We have started processing you application". Till now nothing from NDVO regarding MR. Don't knw whats happening? Felling very nervous...... ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Re-posting the same message doesn't subside your frustration and in fact doesn't provide you faster results.

I've seen that many people ECAS status updated to second line in the last 10 days but haven't heard anything from NDVO. It is quite understandable that this is festive season and we can hear less or no news past new year yet to come. All we can do is to keep our cool and let them work as per their schedules.

FYI. I am also sailing in same boat where my ECAS second line says that 'my application started processing on December 4' and haven't heard anything until now. My information can be found on left side of this post.
