Hi everyone,


My friend intend to apply under this year in FSW 2014 , the NOC in which he wants to apply is almost empty , like only 60 out of 1000 applications have been processed positively as per the official CIC website. Having said that, His all the documents are ready , like ECA Report, experience letter etc .. each and every document is ready... except IELTS ... He attempted the exam today and he will get the Result report for IELTS on 25th of december ... which means that , even if he dispatches the packet by 25th of december itself ... it is nearly impossible for the packet to be delivered before 1st of Jan 2014 , due to holidays ... i have confirmed from every agent like dhl, aramex, fedEx, ups etc .. they assured me that it will take almost more than a week if I give them the packet on 25th ... Now please advice me with the options I am left with ? what shall I advice him ? He was saying that ... he can send the packet by this week itself and like attach an declaraton letter stating that the IELTS result report , he will dispatch on 25th ... So is it okay ? I mean shall he proceed with this or Shall he wait until 25th of december and dispatch all the documents by 25th of december which will be received by CIC in the first week of Jan 2015 , for sure ...

I am about to send my application in a couple of days and have a few queries regarding generic application form - IMM0008. Would appreciate if you can answer as per your experiene.

1) My full name only appears as my given name in my passport as I dont have any family or surname. Same is true with my spouse also as she is also not having family name. In this case shall I leave family name column blank? I Tried leaving family name blank but if done so "applicant name" field remains blank for my form?Is it advisable to leave it blank?

2) I dont have UCI number as I am applying first time and also no fax number. But there is no option to write NA in this. To be left blank? Right?

3) Which is the national identity document if applying from India?

4) If certified degrees are obtained by appearing privately or through correspondence studies, then those number of years should be included in ""number of years of education in total" or not? What should be written in case of children studying in nursery class? Should this be counted towards education years?

To whom should the cover letter be addressed if we want to clarify any issue by explaining our viewpoint?

Would appreciate your responses as I got late and applying at last moment with the help of this forum on my own. sincere thanks in advance for the replies.

Incomplete applications are not processed, and will be returned, yours is the worst advice I have ever read.

You should sign and dated, if you have any chance to recall your file . It will not be any wise decision to make any confusion bcoz its your dream.

CC charged - 23rd November but no PER email yet.

My CC got charged on 12/12.
App Received: 9/25
NOC: 2171

My first CC got blocked due to data breach. I did sent additional mail with cover letter, barcoded page and new CC information during October. Finally my new CC got charged.

I have created a new entry in SS. I was not having my edit link to SS.

are u sure its 2171? i have seen two entries on ur name one with 2172 and other with 2171???

Hi I have one simple doubt,
My App receiving date is 25th Aug DD got encashed on 20th Nov, waiting for PR.

I sent my application with 2 Fixed Deposits receipts as the proof of my maintenance amount. That amount was transferred to my account and FDs were made just 15 days before the application. Is there any chances of rejection. The amount was given to me by my dad, I can show his latest salary slips and the transaction proofs if asked. But I am worried if they reject the application without even asking the source of income.

Hi grooby, ielts is part of set of mandatory documents considered to proceed further from CIC. Without it the application will simply be returned back.

no no gys what i mean is thatf you need more space for any section, print out an additional page containing the appropriate section, complete it and submit it along with your application...............so i make that additional page what i mean the additional page............is that additional page should be signed and dated????

I didn't sign additional pages that I used to draft responsibilities of NOC where I couldnt put all the details on the CIC form and I got PER. So dont worry, you will through. Sit tight, we can meet in Canada soon
