Let me first of all appreciate the incredible work put in by you folks - the assistance and guidance the core members have provided - it is an amazing display of courtesy and probably a bonding for years to come Smiley

I have been following the group for a while. However, today decided to update my info on the SS and wanted to ask a few questions.

Application date - 7th July 2014
Applied from Dubai, UAE
CC payment on - 21st Oct
PER received on - 16th NOV.
No AOR received and ECAS status still shows: Application received on 4th July...
Waiting for the next steps ...
VO is London
NOC is 2171

Questions that may be relevant to others as well:

1 - Is there any activity on processing files in London VO during December due to Christmas / New Year or it will start early next year?

2 - PCC were sent to Sydney, CIC office later on, between CC debit date and PER email date - PER email states file will be moved to LVO. Question is, will the PCC be sent automatically? Also, the PCC were received by CIO within the normal 6 month time frame. However, if the LVO processes my file after 2 months, this may expire! Your thoughts?

3 - At the time of application, one of my son was under 18 years. Now he has crossed the age. Do i have to update any document or inform CIO?

Your thoughts? - At the time of sending initial application, if PCC was less than 3 months old, then you are safe, else you may be asked again for PCC.
3 - At the time of application, one of my son was under 18 years. Now he has crossed the age. Do i have to update any document or inform CIO? - Have you got PER ? If yes, inform VO immediately, else inform CIC/ CIO immediately and you may be required to provide necessary docs to CIC for your son. If you knew your son would be 18 yrs soon, then docs should have been provided earlier itself..

Don't forget your Company HR letter stating your address. It is considered as address proof

I am a June 19th applicant. The second line on my application was updated as: We started processing your application on 8th Dec. Could anyone provide me some information on by when can I expect my MR? Visa office is NDVO.

The SS has a section with average processing times for each stage of the process for every VO. Check it, it will give you a better understanding of the process.

I'm applying under category 1123 and my application was sent by my immigration lawyer on 22nd September. It was received on 23rd September. Am nervously waiting for news now but feeling hopeful.

Hi everyone,


My friend intend to apply under this year in FSW 2014 , the NOC in which he wants to apply is almost empty , like only 60 out of 1000 applications have been processed positively as per the official CIC website. Having said that, His all the documents are ready , like ECA Report, experience letter etc .. each and every document is ready... except IELTS ... He attempted the exam today and he will get the Result report for IELTS on 25th of december ... which means that , even if he dispatches the packet by 25th of december itself ... it is nearly impossible for the packet to be delivered before 1st of Jan 2014 , due to holidays ... i have confirmed from every agent like dhl, aramex, fedEx, ups etc .. they assured me that it will take almost more than a week if I give them the packet on 25th ... Now please advice me with the options I am left with ? what shall I advice him ? He was saying that ... he can send the packet by this week itself and like attach an declaraton letter stating that the IELTS result report , he will dispatch on 25th ... So is it okay ? I mean shall he proceed with this or Shall he wait until 25th of december and dispatch all the documents by 25th of december which will be received by CIC in the first week of Jan 2015 , for sure ...

Sorry to say this but his options are almost 0.
I wouldn't take any risks by sending the package without the IELTS and then try to send it later. In my opinion the best he can do is to apply for EE on January.
Let's wait and see if someone agrees with my opinion.

my question was when an application count in capped....at completeness check or on charging or on PER issuance stage?

My understanding from CIC site that there is a time between receiving and start processing, they mentioned clearly that application been counted only when they open the file.so that is mean that even they receive physically but not open so it is not couned

... so the result is the lose of valuable time for applying to the new program.
