The way it was moving some months ago, I seriously doubted that CIC could make 25,500 applications but looking at the 10K number reached somewhere in October, I think they might meet their number (if they have not already processed 25,500 PER's+NER's). Amazing Year! It shows how professional and consistent CIC has been right from 1st May! I still maintain, they know what they are doing and they are doing it right! Great job CIC team... Cheers! & Merry Christmas!! folks.

CIC is working on some NOC's fast and on some slow. It's crazy waiting for any news. But many September applicants like us need to be a little patient I guess. Mine 10 Sep NOC 2131 DD mode. No news at all. I think we need to wait for one more week.

What does second line update in ECAS signify? Are the background checks going on?

Hi, I just got my credit card charged and am planning to get my PCC process started. Need some advice on which places to get my PCC from. Based on the criteria of "all places where I have lived more than 6 months since I was 18 years old", the following places qualify:
1. India - citizen
2. US - student visa (4 years)
3. Singapore - student visa (8 months with several breaks)
4. UAE - work visa (3 years with several breaks)
5. Egypt - business visa (1 year with several breaks)

Do I need to get it for all these? And any place in Hyderabad, India where I can get it from?

Hi Guys, I need your advice, b'cos I am unable to decide it by myself . . . I recently submitted my medical test .... and am now in process of sending RPRF. However before that I need to make a decision regarding informing CIC about my marriage (took place a week back).

1.) If I tell CIC now about my marriage, then it will delay my application and I will have to re-send my financial documents (C$15,000), then need to shell out embassy fees and visa fees . . . . . (hence, I was thinking to get my visa and then inform CIC about my marriage) . . . .

2.) on the contrary however, If I dnt tell CIC and apply my spouse's visa after getting my visa, then I heard CIC take 1 year - 2 year to apply for spouse's visa. And I will need to show (register) my marriage at a later date . . . . .

I am sure, some candidates have/are applied/applying for their spouses too, can someone guide, what shall I do . . . . obviously, I want my wife to join me soon . . . . . Does it really takes longer, if I apply for my wife's visa, once, I land in Canada . . . .

I heartily thank you for your invaluable time and consideration . . . .

Regards,
AJ

I think you must tell them at this stage and they will ask you for all the additional docs/fee which is a must for processing, first the application and then the PRF......
or if you have any financial constraints then I think the only option you have is to show/register your marriage on the later date may be after you receive your passport stamped.....do discuss with your wife also if she will be ready to wait that much in case you have to do your landing.......

I think if financial is not an issue then its better to update them right now and don't pay the fee. And please hurry up before the ECAS shows decision is made..

Good luck....

In how much time GCMS notes can be obtained?
