Please guide me on below query. Specially people who have received MR and PCC request might answer my queries better:

In PCC request mail, Does NDVO specifically asks that PCC should be issued from Local Police station or Regional Passport Office? If I arrange PCC in advance from any one of these will it be acceptable to NDVO?

I know one applicant who applied under PhD stream on 18th-Aug got PER yesterday...

So u also will get it soon

Also note that PER email comes after initial screening by an officer, so it also depends on how complicated ur case. For example PhD stream takes a bit more time to get PER as they are very keen on how PA(applicant) obtained work experience....

But mine is FSW and not Phd...

Just thought I would post these after reading in between the lines "Ric" from Alberta says;

I would imagine people would start dusting their CV's and preparing to meet up with Canadian Job market (Skilled and High Paying-Jobs I meant).
Otherwise all these hopes and anxiety would hurt personal Egos more when you get to Canada and starts watering Cattles and Doing Dishes with your MBA

hi i am also yet to receive request for MR and police check yet but i have started process for getting police check done.

i have not yet succeeded in getting the same from passport seva kendra yet, got one more appointment on monday.

my understanding is that both PVC(Police verification certificate) issued by commissioner of police , as well as PCC( Issued by Regional passport office/passport seva kendra) are accepted.

only catch is when you apply for PVC , you need the letter from visa office that mentions the fact that they need police verification.
in case of PCC from passport office , there is no such requirement. by the way note the fact that lot of people have said that getting PCC from passport seva kendra is easy but i believe it depends on the passport officer and his intentions a lot.
pray for me as i am also trying for PCC once more on this monday from a different PSK.

i cant start PVC process as I am yet to receive the Police check request mail from NDVO.

Requesting group members to correct me i need to be corrected on any of the points mentioned above.

for timebeing i suggest you must try for PCC from passport seva kendra to be ready!!!

PCC from RPO and LPO are same. There is queue in obtaining PCC through RPO. Better contact Local Police Commissioner office.

Below process followed by me for obtaining the PCC from Faridabad (NCR)
1. Day One - taken PCC form from Commissioners Office. Paid the fees.
2. Day Two - Taken filled forms and submitted to local PS.
3. Day Three -Given address and ID proofs of WItness and their sign on PS PCC format and submitted the same to PS.
4. Day Four - PS handed over the report on their format along with attached to the PCC form and same day i have submitted to commissioners office.
5. Day sixth - I got the PCC.
