Friends,
This is what happened in My case:

First Application:
I have appled under 2132
Application received on May 29th.
VO - CPC-O
Status: Medical received.

Second application:
I have appled under 0911
Application received on Sept 20th.
VO - New Delhi
Status: CC Charged on 12/09/14.

I was suspecious that they are going to charge my card, I called my bank (Chase) a week ago and asked them to block the marchant.
Bank sais that, he is blocked. Yesterday, my card was charged and I have no clue how it is happened.

Practically I dont need to process my second application as my first one is already reached medicals stage.

Is there any way I can get money back from CIC for my second application?

Hi

Thank you so much for the detailed information. Quick question will NDVO accept if PCC issued before PCC/MR request?

Can't you now PCC from PC now?

Yes, it will accept.

In your case i believe you have yet to apply for PCC but you got your PER just some time ago. So you can now start PCC process for you and your family.

All the best :)

On what grounds? Please don't give false information on the forum.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
"Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one."

I think since i am engineer by education and marketer by profession, this might have happened. Only a guess.......
Wish you tons of good luck! Prayers for a smooth sail...

i, Need guidance from the seniors.

I am June 30 applicant NOC 1114. Got PER on Oct 27. And waiting for MR.
After filing first app., I filed another app on Sept 11, under NOC 4011. But as soon as I received PER for the first app, i mailed CIC to withdraw my second application. I have not received their response yet.

Ankit,

In all probability, they will cancel your second one irrespective of if you have requested for cancellation or not as your first application has received positive eligibility. So two applications wont be proceded with. We are allowed to submit more than one application under various NOC to cover the risk if one gets negative assessment, second one might fill in for the chance but you are fortunate to have it shot in first instance and hence they will send back second one without charging the fee.

Regards
Pradeep
Now, I want CIC to not withdraw my app and let it get processed. (I just wanna be double sure about my canada dream- thats it- noother reason)

Question:
1) what should I do? Should I call CIC and ask not to withdraw my second file? or mail them today? or do both?
2) will they have read my mail by this time? cz they have not replied me yet.
3) If they have read my mail and sent my file back- Do i have any chance?

I am behaving a bit immature but I dont know what NDVO would be doing with my first app and do not the exact process they follow after PER- I mean only background check or matching NOC and duties and all- I have a concern there.

I appreciate the responses.

Thanks!

You are true. In fact the op has taken precious slot of another person.

IMHO, I don't want to mess up with CIC and let the money go and withdraw your app at a later date...

rajdeepganga

its better to be quiet than throwing words - this site is viewed by 10000nds - dont write what u think

write facts

Thank you idefix, Papillon, krasburn, rajdeepganga for your suggestions.

As it seems practically not possible to get money back from CIC.(clearly mentioned on their website - non returnable)

I will have a query/dispute with the bank for faulty information (In fact I called bank twice to block the merchant "IMM&CITIZENSHIP FSW"

I will let you know the outcome.

Thank you very much.

charging

guys whats the latest dates of charging for both cc and dd

Any idea ?

Thank you for your suggestion. But how long does it take to winning an appeal?

Well, I must confess that I have no idea, I know that there is such possibility because I've read about similar cases. This is about temporary resident decisions, but I am sure it applies to permament residents too: "You can also ask for a judicial review through the Federal Court of Canada, if you think the process was not fair. A lawyer in Canada would act on your behalf." http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=180&t=17
