It's really frustrating that some applicants get MR within a week of status update and some are waiting for 3-4 weeks ..what's the criteria ? Any suggestions from seniors ? Are background checks complete or they still doing employment verifications ? Can someone answer it ?

i sent my application kit in August 2014. This evening CIC sent me an email, which was the first communication from their side.

Its says, "Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office. . ."

What does it signify? What am i supposed to do now? i am little anxious, hence need some advice.

It depends on document verification and criminality, therefore it's case-specific.

Friends,

I had applied for UK PCC, it got processed and dispatched on 28th of Nov. Yet, I have not received that parcel.

Wrote mail to APCO and they said its a non-tracking parcel and I have to wait. I am biting my nails as I am not able to track that parcel. They sent through ordinary RoyalMail.

I had been to nearest India Post office, no luck, even they said, I got to wait.

I know this query is not related to APP, but please suggest me what I should do. Should I send APCO, another application to provide me PCC and will they provide me one more?

I just wanna let all my friends aware that whenever they are going to do landing in canada in coming months for their PR then they should tell custom officers after passing through CBSA officers that they'll bringing some goods later on.Then custom officers will let them fill up some forms where new immigrants can mention anything ..it can be gold jewelry ..diamond jewelry ..electronic items ..u have to mention all details abt ur personal stuff...it will help u guys later on Bcoz then custom officer will not charge any custom on any item Bcoz it will be in their system forever..it will help a lot of my south Asian friends who have so much of jewelry at home...!
