Your passport should usually be valid for at least 6 months when asked for PPR. But if you have a chance to apply for a new passport you should really do it now since your visa will only be issued till the expiration of the passport or one year whichever if sooner.

Experts, it that correct to say that I received MR+RPRF+PPR1, based on below email received from LVO.

You will shortly receive the medical forms, by email. If not received in 2 to 3 days please advise us.

Please provide the following items in addition within 30 days:

1. Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fees ($980). Note that this fee may now be paid online. Please see information at following link:

2. Please also complete and return the attached form and provide scanned copies of passport bio pages.

In this regards, I have sent below mentioned information, but I didn't send them my and my wife photographs as they didn't ask for it, but do I need to send it?

(1) updated passports scan copy of myself and my spouse, I scanned passport biodata page and second/third page as well where previous passport number is mentioned
(2) RPRF official payment slip
(3) Updated information chart.

I am in a very peculiar problem. Would request guidance from seniors please.
My mother is deceased. But none of my certificates contain "late" before her name.
Now I am going to renew my passport. Shall I apply late before her name? If I do so, this would my first document containing "late", all others contain just her name. What the experienced ones say regarding mentioning late in passport?

Does CIC forms have any column for mentioning "late"? Will not mentioning "late" be seen as mis -representation from CIC? Please guide me. I am very confused.

Really sorry for your loss.

I do not think its really necessary to change your mother's name in your passport. I lost my father at the age of 2 and yet none of my documents have late before his name.

Besides, in background declaration form you must have mentioned the date of death which makes it quite clear.

I think you're good to go but still you can wait for a senior to address your query.

If you are traveling out of country for two months and mean while you receive passport request, what will happen?
Is it possible to request consulate to get extension for sending passport to VO.

Really sorry for your loss and nothing can fulfill it.

I think there is no need to worry at this point. And it doesnt matter if in your passport late is mentioned or not.
if you look at the
"CIVIL IDENTITY DOCUMENT" point 16 in document check list. There is nothing like death certificate of parent required by cic, however they require death certificate of spouse or former spouse. More over they keep on asking please update your VO if there is change in your family composition. As principal applicant your family means your wife and your kids.
Even in family declaration form there is a column for date of birth but no field to specify date of death or death certificate required (in case).


So your case is clear. However you can still inform your VO by sending a cover letter with death certificate of your mother by addendum CSE.
