Finally I have sent my file to CIC, It may reach CIC If plane taking my courier don't get crashed, fingers crossed... What would be the next step? Where can I track my status? How long do I need to wait? What If I any document, Shall I send them again?

Finally, I have received much awaited PER mail from CIO ;D ;D :-* :-*

File Received : 14th August,
NOC : 0112
DD Encashed : 17th Nov as per PER mail
DD encashed 20th Nov as per bank

I had almost lost hope when I found out that I had not mentioned my name in the Fee Payment Form. I hadn't sent any new Fee Payment Form as an addendum to my already-submitted application.

I would like to highlight few pointers of my application to all those forumites who are anxiously awaiting positive reply from CIO:

1. Didn't mention my name in Fee Payment Form and no addendum sent (payment mode was DD)
2. Didn't submit job reference letter from one of my previous employers as employer has declined to provide the same. Had submitted self-declared affidavit along with supporting docs (appt letter, pay stubs, and experience letter).
3. Birth certificate was not provided as there were no records. Submitted Non Availability of Birth Certificate (NAC) issued by Births and Deaths Registrar's office along with my 10th certificate and an affidavit.

Would like to thanks all members who provide much needed support and guidance to naive forumites like me. At the same time, I pray that each one of us should get PER, MR, and PPR requests at the earliest.

In my paperwork all looks like this:
I came to USA on working visa, was working and than applied for change to Tourist Visa, that was approved and than Visa expired. And since that time I stayed illegal. I didn't hide that I am here illegal, that I overstayed visa. And I know they accept people which are overstayed. I even made letter saying that I cam on workign visa, than it was extended and please see the proof that I was legally in USA for minumum 1 year (those are requirements). Regarding Passport everything is Ok, I enclosed copy of Passport with entry visa & copy of the new Passport (old one expired). The new one was issued in USA, because I was here already...

I just worry if they can someway find out that I left and come back (well there are not record that I came back, I don't know about the record for leaving the country - That was in 2006 I left via plain..)

[size=10pt]It is never recommended to lie in your FSW application. But seriously, I doubt if it is possible for anyone to learn about your travel history if you do not have stamps on your current passport even if you have booked and boarded an aircraft.

This is just my opinion anyways, but seniors please confirm the above.[/size]

As 2174 cap is filled long time ago. Wanted to know whether when will CIC will return my application.

How long could it take CIC to return an application if cap full??? Days, Months or Years??

Do you know when know when it was returned? Avg time is around 2 + months from the day returned. (If you are living in India)

These packages are sent through Canadian post. Timelines may vary considering customs and security checks.

Keep checking with Local Post office to see if they have any packages for you

HI to all,

It's hard for me to write about me situation but I decided to do it and ask you opinion.

I came to USA 10 years ago and after 1 year being on tourist visa, my visa expired and become illegal That is a long story about me trying to change that...
After 6 years I decided to come back to my home country & live there... but I couldn't accommodate there and came back to USA - Illegally
and I live here day by day... I wish to be one day legally & be able to live normal...

I applied to Canada, I couldn't say that I came here illegality because that would put me in rejection, So I didn't say nothing about me leaving this country.
DO you think that they will find out about this?

I know that we can apply to Canada being illegal in the Country of residence as long as you were here 1 year legal, which I was. I included documents:

Entry visa (from 10 years ago)
Legal admission
Application for Tourist visa showing I am ok for 1 year

DO you think that I am out of game?

Please advise if you know...

P.S. I send out my application in October 6-th

Overstay is fine if you went back to your country and applied from there. Since you applied from the USA, you are required to provide proof to CIC that you entered USA legally in the past 1 year (immediate past, that is one year from the date you apply to CIC, not 10 years ago) and will be living here legally for at least another 6 months. Since you didn't provide this proof, no doubt CIC will ask you for it. It won't be good for you when you can't provide it.

Did you get your passport stamped when you left the country? If you did, it's best you let them know about it as they will find out and then it will surely be game over. However, if there is no proof that you left then i can understand you opting not to disclose it...... I know how anxious we all are to get to Canada

Refer to the Avg Process Time on SS. For NDVO, the avg time from PER to Processing Started is 47 days.

There was already an applicant from August 17th, NOC 2173, that has his application returned to CAP full.

If you can't apply via 2172, get ready for EE.

just received my MR with RPRF from NDVO.....

they also demanded for background declaration form for my spouse

here what they mean by updated.. as i checked on cic site form is same updated in 2012 or with recent updated in my spouse's profile
