Dear goku and other senior member I need your advice on an issue.

issue..... I traveled to uk in 2006. The passport had a problem with first name spelling so did the visa page. Upon return I realised and cancelled first passport and got new passport issued with correct name. My consultant at that time told me not to disclose it.

now per was issued on 28 nov .... visa office is london.
I contacted consultant again for disclosure of this info

solution they gave is that I write a letter addressing to london visa office saying that there was a name confusion that is why it was not included in initial application. Now we are humbly informing you that person traveld on that canceled passport with wrong first name was same person. I attached the canceled passport and visa copy with up dated travel form.

is this solution ok ? Pls advice shld I write this reason or that I forgot to mention the travel details in error.

Get an affidavit with oath commissioner signed on it - approach vo directly and get it corrected

@ canadafsw2015 thanks for the response and +1 to you.

I had done the same mistake. I drafted an apologetic cover letter, alongwith revised background form, photocopies of US visa rejection letters and sent it to my Visa office in New Delhi via courier.
Generally after your Medicals, your local VO does criminality check, wherein 1 of their checks includes verifying your information with the US immigration database too (generally for asylum, deportation etc.) but your student and tourist visa rejection will definitely crop up there.

Although, that's not a base to jeopardize your Canadian PR, but they might reject your case based on misrepresentation...now...after you get a PR and land in canada..or maybe even after you acquire a Canadian citizenship...you never know..quite uncertain situation to be in....

Hence, I suggest you send your local VO all these docs by courier. Declaring this now won't affect your PR application for sure..a 100% positive on that!!

i did,not see any 2132 charged after 15 september thats why getting worried

Caps Update are based on completeness Ahsan , give it a week I would say, (DD) has to wait for few more days til encashed

AOR: Acknowledgement of Receipt (When VO receives the file but NDVO do not issue AOR).

My ecas status has only 1st line yet "We receved your application for PR on June 18 2014".

My medical report was received/e-CAS updated on Nov 13. Still waiting for PPR email. I know several others in the same boat from Ottawa.

Good to know. Now I am getting a little bit worried. I think I will wait another week and if there is no changes on my ECAS I will send an inquiry....
