WOW its going to tough to scale through the EE criteria. its skewed towards having high IELTS scores and Canadian work experience. I ranked myself with the new criteria and I could only score 294 out of a total 600 points (not including the additional 600 points you score for arranged employment or provincial nomination) . Can you guys rank yourselves , lets see what the EE pool will look like ?

Under current FSW we, my spouse being the principal applicant, get 77 points. Under EE our score is coming 347 out of 600 without job offer or provincial nomination.

77/100 = 77% Rating
347/600 = 58% Rating

Language has the highest marks followed by education, age and then Canadian experience. In age, they are also giving preference to people under 30 years. For Older people, who are mostly married, with average IELTS score and no Canadian experience; this has become tougher to Immigrate without nomination but the thing is how many will get job offers or nominations?

396 :( Its really skewed towards 20-29 age group I think. I lost 50 points just because I am not the "right" age! I just hope we can get through this year. I will definitely try again if not, but I think it will be the end of the road if we dont get in, this time.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think we will see a lot of Job Offers on the first months. There are very few FSW2 (with job offer) on the SS - less than 1%. May it go up to 10%? I sincerely doubt it. Anyway, they will probably continue to call a lot of Applicants without job offer because they don't want to reduce the number of immigrants.

My wife and I score the following points:
FSW: 82 / 100 = 82% rating
EE: 420 / 600 = 70% rating

A big decrease as well. I already suspected IELTS was a major factor so I will be taking it again,... I invite you all to do so as well.

They only want married people if the wife will be able to work as well (good level of English). On FSW, the focus was on the wife being able to communicate only (basic level of English).

396 is a very nice score I think.

We will have to track this better. Anybody volunteers to do a EE spreadsheet :)?

Guys, I'm a June 9th Applicant, received PER on OCT 6th (CPC-Ottawa 2174). I haven't received a request for MR or PCC yet!! My eCAAS still reads one line "We received your application on June 9th"

I see from the spreadsheet that june ending applications are getting MR and PCC requests from Ottawa VO. Is this normal?

I'm growing impatient with every passing day!! Anyone else in the same boat? may be we can start a whatsapp group and communicate!?

About 420 if I'm not mistaken on a quick check.

I already suspected IELTS would be a major factor so I'm retaking it next weekend.
May I ask why are you retaking IELTS if you filed your application under current program? Just in case?

Because I'm an Applicant from late October and I'm sure my PER won't get here before February.

So EE is my plan B and I wan't to have a strong plan B :).

No need to apologize my friend :) ... But now I have a question ... Since, I am applying without spouse , therefore ... I am not even eligible to attend this question ... right ? Then, why should i even mark NO ? I mean , I don't have a spouse so why should I even tick NO ? I hope you got my idea .. Please clarify ... :/

You can leave it as it is. Dont have to fill, if you dont want to fill.

Please go through the guide: Guide 7000 - Application for Permanent Residence_ Federal Skilled Worker Class

It is available with CIC website.

Hello,

Would you please give the link where you ranked your eligibility with the new criteria?

Thank you.

Following is the excerpt from CIC guide, which is quite unequivocal:

Police certificates

All applicants must submit police certificates/clearances as part of the application process.

You and all of your family members who are 18 years of age and older and who are not already permanent residents or Canadian citizens will have to provide:

a valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over must obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
