Seniors, please give your thoughts on this. just want to make sure again....

I am the principal applicant and already received PER last week. The Question is my wife's passport needs to have some corrections. Her Surname field is blank in passport and surname is added along with first name in the first name field of the passport. I have given same in the application forms, now I like to correct the passport. If I corrected the passport and send to the Visa office, will there be any issues ? Please let me know if any body has done this ?

thanks for reply. But can u tell me why it is not advisable to write email regarding e-cas update?? Even cic has written that one can raise CSE if information u r seeking is not available on e-cas.

You may use this form if:

You have submitted an application.
Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond if your application is within normal processing times.
You wish to report important changes, such as a change in address, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment or urgent requests.
You wish to change or add a Representative and you are ready to upload your Use of Representative Form (IMM5476).
You hold a study permit issued before June 1, 2014, and need a letter confirming your ability to work off campus and need a Social Insurance Number (SIN). To receive a confirmation letter, you must:
select 'International Student – Confirmation letter to work off campus' in the form below,
provide your client ID number (unique client identifier),
provide your file number (study permit number), and
attach your Letter of Enrolment or Letter of Acceptance from a designated learning institution.

You are within reasonable timelines. Sending CSE creates unnecessary workload for the IPA processing your file and as a result you receive a generic meaningless reply "your app is in processing, we will contact you in due course".

Hi everyone

My application was received on 29th August at CIO
NOC 2132 Mechanical Engr
Haven't been charged yet, haven't received application back yet..

do I need to worry or it will take more time?
Payment was by credit card. Asked bank and they said there hasn't been an attempt yet( not sure if that can be confirmed though)

how can i check from CIO except email which takes a month or two to be answered?

You should stay positive and expect good only. Still August and September applicants are being charged and issued PER s. So hang in there..
there is no other effective method to know about application status except email but you may try calling cio and ask for UCI.

Hi Mayur....

My file got return - Reason " They are not satisfied there is sufficient evidence that I performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupations as described of the NOC 0112"

I request you all to share your experience letter with me. If you could send me the wording you all have mentioned in your experience letter would be highly appreciated!

Don know how NDVO is working!!! in my case they send MR first on 27th nov and second line update on 30 nov..

Send new PP information along with documents required by VO against MR.

yes. Mine was 19th and one of my friend not in the forum was 21st, we both have ECAS changed to medical received...

Guyz do I need to mail NDVO and confirm from them that whether my medical receipts and RPRF receipts have reached them or they will tell on their own?

When medical reaches them , does the status show only on ECAS or will they mail us also ?

You can check with the courier company if the package has been delivered..

Third line after medicals are received is Medical Received

Please let me know of the medical reports,PCC have to be sent to the VISA office by a courier or do we have to scan it and e-mail it to them. Also please let me know if the PCC has to be original.

In case of eMedical examination you needn't send anything to the VO. As far as PCC is concerned, they will only accept original, so it should be mailed/shipped by courier to the respective address.
