4th Sep applicant here..Nothing seems to happen for 2171 since last week when an applicant of 2nd Sep got CC charged...

Very worried...

Yesterday our friend Optmistic3 (I think) reported an e-mail response by CIC stating that his app is in the queue and will be processed soon.
He´s a 2171 5th September applicant.
I think it´s a good news....let´s just wait a little more.....

Caza,
The gas connection book should work fine. Worked in my case. Had a similar issue like yours but PCC was issued same day !!

Passport office has been provided a list of docs which can be accepted as address proof and nothing else. Notarised rent agreement is not acceptable. It needs to be duly registered as per clause 17 of some land registration act.
The link to the address proofs which are acceptable is on the passport website.

canOI Thanks !!!

I hope so !!! I will have to take appointment once more!!!

Seniors, please give your thoughts on this.

I have received PER yesterday and I am the principal applicant. The Question is my wife's passport needs to have some corrections. Her Surname field is blank in passport and surname is added along with first name in the first name field of the passport. I have given same in the application forms, now I like to correct the passport. If I corrected the passport and send to the Visa office, will there be any issues ? Please let me know if any body has done this ?

As per current trend how many days it is taking to get the MR after receiving the PER ?
30 - 45 days
You can renew tour passport, only send a copy of it along with MR receipts

This the complete content:
"I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 12(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) states that a foreign national may be selected as a member of the economic class on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada. Subsection 75(1) of the regulations prescribes the Federal Skilled Worker class as a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada.
Pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, 2002, skilled worker applicants are assessed on the basis of the requirements set out in subsection 75(2) and the criteria set out in subsection 76(1). The assessment of these requirements determines whether a skilled worker will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are age, education, knowledge of Canada's official languages, experience, arranged employment and adaptability.
Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) in which you requested assessment. The table below sets out the points assessed for each of the selection criteria:
Age :12
Education 21
Official language:21
Experience:11
Adaptability:0
Total:65
You have obtained insufficient points to qualify for immigration to Canada, the minimum requirement being 67 points.
You were assigned 12 points for your age in accordance with R81 of IRPA.
You were assigned 21 points for your education credential at the Bachelors Degree (three years) level based on the Canadian educational credential or equivalency assessment submitted in support of your application in accordance with R75(8) and R78(1).
You were assigned 21 points for your English language proficiency and 0 for your French language proficiency. Points have been assigned in accordance with R79(1) of IRPA.
No points were assigned for arranged employment in accordance with R82(2) of IRPA.
You were assigned 11 points for your 2 years of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work with ........ (March 2013 – July 2014) and ......... (April 2012 – Feb 2013), within the 10 years prior to the date your application was made, in accordance with R 80 of IRPA.
No points were assigned for a relative in Canada for the following reasons: Sufficient evidence (such as a birth certificate of PAs father/mother showing same parents as ........) was not on file to satisfy me of your relationship (aunt) with ............. Kindly refer to the visa office document checklist for further details.
You were assigned 0 adaptability points for your spouse or common-law partners' language proficiency, for a two year period of study in Canada by you or your spouse, for one year of work in Canada by you at the O, A or B level or one year of work in Canada by your spouse or common-law partner, for being related to a person living in Canada, or for arranged employment in accordance with R83 of IRPA.
You have not obtained sufficient points to satisfy me that you will be able to become economically established in Canada.
Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or any other document may be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to “this Act” include regulations made under it.
Following an examination of your application, I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Act and the regulations for the reasons explained above. I am therefore refusing your application.
Note: Any different or new information that you submit cannot be taken into consideration.
Should you have different or additional information, you may wish to submit a new application. For up-to-date information on how to apply under the Federal Skilled Workers Class, please visit the website at:

NOTE: Your application and supporting documentation are part of your permanent record and must remain on file. Original documents, submitted in support of your application, are also part of the permanent record and will not be returned. Once your application has been placed in process, no refund of the processing fees will be issued.
Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada."

So sad, but still not sure that even though they haven't misplaced the birth vertificate (or consultant didn.t include it) nthey would have given per

Sorry to hear your story, but as I understood, your relative is the aunt of your spouse, and you provided your father in law's birth certificate and your aunt's too ! then CIO should have considered your relative and added the 5 points! If this is the case, it is the fault of CIO not yours!

Dear All, remember my friend I told you about yesterday. The one whose credit card couldn't be charged because of the wrong cvv. Alhamdulellh his payment was made today

When he realised that his CC information is wrong and that the payment was not going through, he immediately called CIC, but unfortunately with no benefit. He then prepared a cover letter and a new pay,net form and sent it to two different email IDs and two different fax numbers

Second day he received the golden sms. It seems that someone had actually picked up his revised form and say the email/fax and acted immediately upon it

That's great news for me, I'm really happy for him and wish him good luck in the coming phases
