What would be safe for payment DD or CC? I have heard making payment through CC subjects to risk, don't know how? Please suggest.
Why CC is not the best choice:
1 - The bank could block an international transaction.
2 - Sometimes there is a limit in the amount of money that can be retired from the card.
3 - You might lose your card.
4 - The bank could replace your card and the old one would be useless.

DD is the safest choice but if you cant use that method of payment go ahead with CC but do two things. First, call the bank and check the limit of the credit card and also enable international transactions. Second, keep your credit card safe!!!!

Canada’s highest (and lowest) paying jobs of 2014

Peter Harris| Nov 25, 2014 04:15 pm
"As 2014 draws to a close, and many people start formulating their New Year’s resolutions and goals for 2015, we thought that it was a good time to take a look back at some of the country’s most (and least) lucrative jobs to have.

To start in the middle, according to Statistics Canada, the average wage for Canadian employees is currently $928 per week – or just about $48,250 a year – based on a 40-hour workweek. Most of the jobs on our high paying list earn at least three times that much in 2014. (And the lowest paying occupations paid less than half the average.)

The highest paying jobs in Canada:

Specialist physicians at the high end of the pay scale they can earn over $375,000
Dentist – $287,303
Family physicians – $272,750
Lawyers at the top end of the pay scale make $272,550
Judges $176,800
Senior Managers of Goods Production, Utilities, Transportation, and Construction – $165,000
Senior managers in Finance and Communications can earn $160,000
Actuaries earn $155,000
Engineering managers – $137,000
Top paid Airline Pilots make $138,000

Of course most of the country’s lowest paying jobs will simply pay the minimum wage of whatever region the job happens to be located in. Towards the low end of the scale that is roughly $9.95 an hour earning someone just over $20,000 – assuming they worked full time and were paid for 40 hours a week.

The lowest paying jobs in Canada:

Sewing machine operator – $19,760
Cashier – $20,700
Ironing, pressing and finishing occupations $20,700
Artisans $21,320
Bartender – $21,000
Harvesting labourer – $19,750
Service station attendant – $19,750
Food and beverage server – $22,000
Food counter attendant / kitchen help – $19,750
Babysitters, nannies, and parent’s helpers – $19,750

Of course this doesn’t take into account tipping. Bartenders and wait staff, particularly at higher end establishments can make very comfortable incomes with low hourly wages but the bulk of their income coming from tips. (See Confessions of the $100,000 waitress)

The Federal government’s Working in Canada website breaks down the salaries for different occupation by province and even by city. It’s a useful tool for seeing how your paycheque measures up – and preparing for your next salary negotiation

True. I have seen many cases of cloned credit cards, such a headache... but most managed to send an addendum with DD or another CC and got charged.
I've seen an user use Visa Travel Money which is a pre-paid card. You can make this card only for this purpose and charge it with the required amount. It worked for them, no issues and as safe as DD if you keep the card SAFE. Better choice than a regular CC imo. ;D

Hi,

I am wondering if someone can help me.

I applied on July 14 and unfortunately my file came back. The office has ticked that I have less than 1 year experience in the filed I was applying for (0123). I have over 4 years of experience in the same industry with exactly the same job descriptions matching the NOC category very closely and the person only counted the most recent experience.

My question is - for my experience to count do I need to be employed by the same firm?no When they ask for atleast 1 years of experience does it need to be from your current employer?no

Please help and thank you in advance.

Probably your reference letters were non-compliant with CIC standards, hence you didn't pass completeness check.

Thanks a ton..

One more question while filling IMM0008ENU_2D They are asking for family name that I don't have in passport.. Its mandatory field. Shall I write my full name or N/A.

DD is no doubt safer than CC, though CC has a main advantage of instant confirmation for processing fee !
If you're not familiar with risks associated with CC then avoid it 8)

Isn't family name the same as last name? No idea about your question, sorry. Just wait to see if any other member has an answer.

following is reply from LVO regarding the addition of new born to application....

but they haven't mention the DD payee name will it be same "the receiver general for canada"

anybody ....

Dear Sir / Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

A new dependent can be added during the processing of an application. You must submit a new application form including this new dependent on the applicant’s form for permanent resident.

In order to add the child to an application for permanent residence at this office, we require the following documents:

• processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)
• your child’s birth certificate
• copy of your child’s valid passport
• 4 recent photographs of your child
• updated IMM0008 Generic for yourself and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse.
• a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” for your child ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp
