You can update this after a certain number of posts, from your profile in the top right corner of your screen.

Thank you. I updated the post, now it looks more readable. It's on the previous page.

Hi People

I have a question around PCC.
I have stayed in South Africa in the past for more than 6 months.
I obtained my PCC from there but that PCC was issued 10 months ago, can I use the same PCC and send to NDVO. I am of the opinion that it should work because that PCC is for a fixed time period of 2008 -2010 and I never visited South Africa again, so it is as valid now as it was 10 months ago, so it should be acceptable.
However seniors please provide input if my understanding is wrong and I need another PCC from South Africa in the current date.
My another question is around paying the RPRF, what is the best mode of paying the fee online or the DD. If DD, should I make the DD in Rupees or in CAD? From my understanding the fee is $490, is that correct?

Thanks

I feel any PCC which we are submitting to CIC/ VO needs to be not more than 3 months old,
better get it new one, with new fingerprints and copy of old PCC, with 59R fees ;D

well where u worked there in JHB, CTN, DBN?? , what is ur timeline, NOC???

cheers

For Manila VO applicants

Be aware that the new fee schedule has been update on November 24, 2014.
so, please verify the new fee schedule when paying RPRF.

Question on taking parents to Canada -

I'm settled in India and in process of getting my way cleared for Canada. After I reach Canada with my spouse and kids, I need to bring my parents there as soon as possible.

After I reach there, how soon can I apply for their visa?
Will they be able to get a PR or I need to call them on some other temporary visa?
How long with the processing take for their visa?
Any info on the process of applying their visa?

Any information on this topic will help. Thanks in Advance!!
Canada has 3 ways to call parents

1) You can file their PR. There are conditions associated with that though
- You need to have min income requirement (based on # of family members and dependents) and you need last 3 years income statements from CRA and your parents will be in long queue of application pool.
- There are limited intake since last year in this category 5,000 files/year and it fills like within 1 month it opens. In fact this programs reopened started since 2014.
- You need to be PR holder or Citizen.
2) You can apply for their visitor visa. It's though not guaranteed and they can stay upto usually 6 months and possible extension but you will bear all expenses related to parents (Major is insurance usually $1600-$2000 per person). For this also you need to show sufficient backup/proof of residence if you are sponsoring them.
3) SuperVisa which is best, fastest and easiest. They get visa usually 10 years or till expiry of their passport. But it's success rate is as high as 87% and they can stay with you for 2 years without extension. Condition is you buy their Medical Insurance. Also you need to submit few documents related to you are capable of bearing all expenses related to same.

I hope it gives you hint. All options I think you will have to wait till min 1-2 years till you get stable here. You are lucky that you have biggest wealth in world as you are blessed to have your parents and God bless them good health.
