I can confirm from the trend of PER I'm seeing today that there is no difference or delay caused if you use DD vs. CC. People whose files were received on 31st are getting their PER today whether they were paying through CC or DD

Since you clearly understand the matter, a question for you: I applied through a lawyer from Toronto (I know... The shame!!), and he got a Money Order directly from Canada.

Will that DD be faster to process then a DD from another country? How Much faster?

Thanks Sir ;)

Yes, it will be same day clearing for Canadian MO. No reconciliation with any home country Local bank. Hence you may come to know immediately if your consultant checks with them.

Even the DDs issues by local banks are actually Canadian Bank DDs (Local banks have tie ups with Canadian banks). For example I got a CIBC DD issued by ICICI Bank India. These also get cleared locally in Canada, same day, but you / your local bank will come to know only once the Canadian bank asks your local bank for the reimbursement amount and this claim goes for clearance through the supervision of the foreign trade and Inward-Outward remittances teams of the 2 banks and takes time due to Fx legalities. After about 10 days time, your local bank Front office guy might tell you that the DD is cleared. If you have contacts with the local banks inward outward remittances team member, then you might probably come to know after just 3 days instead of 10 days. Whereas in reality, it is actually cleared in Canada on day 1/2 itself. Hence many applicants get a different date of DD clearing by CIC and their local bank in their home country.

Dear All,

Is there anyone who has requested from CIC to execercise “Substituted Evaluation” for his application for FSWP because of having less than 67 points?

And what was the result?

It is a very important clause in CIC manual, if someone will share his experience about "Substitued Evaluation", it might benefit several candidates.

Regards,
George

Very interesting! But from CIC's point of view, they see no distinction from a Canadian or Foreign DD, is that it?

Hi everyone,
I have finally received my ECAS from ICAS. I have got Associate Degree for Bachelors and Masters for my MBA. How many points do I get. IS it 19 or 23?

Hi, congratulations for getting your MBA equivalent to Canadian Masters.

Question No.1:- Could you please inform that from which country you got your MBA?
And
Question No.2:- How long did ICAS took to issue ECA after submitting of all the documents to them?

Thanks in advance for your positive feedback about both of above questions.

Regards, George
