Just sharing what I learned from this highly informative forum in response to a PM as this may useful for May applicant who are waiting for MRs..
Take the case one of our forumate with below dates:
Application Date: 14th may
2nd line got updated on October 9th that they started processing application.
but no MR still.
There is nothing to start losing heart or even start thinking about it. Here is what is going on at your respective VO.
As long as they are processing it, means they are doing the background process and checking around your profile etc. Until the status does not show "Decision Made". there is nothing to worry. "Decision Made" is a rejection status only except if it comes after PPR request, where it is considered positive decision made.
So for processing started friends, Next step from here should be one of below three:
1. You get MR email (if you clear background checks)
2. They may call you for interview or ask for additional documentation to support your application or job profile etc.
3. Your ECAS status changes to "Decision Made", which means unfortunately the application is rejected.
Until the third one happens, you are very much on your way to Canada.
This is my understanding about the process and request seniors to pitch in and correct if any is missed out or wrongly projected. My three cheers to the May applicants for whom the processing is underway, you guys will soon be having MR in your inbox. Good Luck Friends.
