Hi Everyone,
ECAS 3rd line is added on 22nd NOV. I update the SS. I am now waiting for FBI report, which I may receive by the end of January.
All the best to everyone!

Also I have a question for the experts. How can I give +1 to a member of this forum?

Congrats and +1 for your MR.

You can give +1 once you reach 20 posts. Click on "GOOD" in the left hand profile pane of the person whom you want to give +1

Hi,

Can someone guide me if I need to get PCC done for children as well, or are they exempt from the formality..?

Regards,
Arka

Dear Sharwart21,
Go to local police station tomorrow morning and ask them if they have sent the report for Commissioner office or not. If not then take that report by hand and submit to Commissioners office and they will give you PCC in two days. Or if they have sent then take the Speed post tracking number. Track it and if its received by commissioners office then request them to expedite.

Below process followed by me for obtaining the PCC from Faridabad (haryana)
1. Day One - taken PCC form from Commissioners Office. Paid the fees.
2. Day Two - Taken filled forms and submitted to local PS.
3. Day Three -Given address and ID proofs of WItness and their sign on PS PCC format and submitted the same to PS.
4. Day Four - PS handed over the report on their format along with attached to the PCC form and same day i have submitted to commissioners office.
5. Day sixth - I got the PCC.

Thanks Avinir for sharing. +1 not possible as Karma stops me currently.

Bad News Guys :(

Got a letter(hardcopy) from NDVO today tht my wife needs to undergo some extra medical tests...

Got a call frm Hospital too, the call dropped in between so cud not hear much...but, that guy has asked me to take my wife to same hospital where we underwent the initial tests last week...i think he was also hinting tht her x-ray has shown some signs of TB and she required to undergo some sputum tests (very strange though...she has never had TB nor she has any signs of it....rather she is healthier than me....anyways...naturally we are quite shocked !!)....I have done some r&d and found similar cases on this forum.....they might ask her to Undergo SPUTUM test for 3 consecutive days and then she might have to submit another X-Ray after minimum 3 months from the day her first x-ray was taken(i.e.,14nov)....Finally, if Sputum Test & X-Ray are fine..her medical will go thru...and if not, then she might be asked to take medication for 3-6 months :-(

So, fact is tht after cruising thru all stages till now.....Suddenly today my whole PR process is delayed by 4 to 8 months :(

Feeling bad for my wife, she is feeling guilty conscious and blaming herself for this delay...inspite of me telling her repeatedly to chill out...I think, In life whatever happens, happens for good and it happens for a certain reason.

Lets See What Tomorrow Brings

I can totally relate with your frustration mate! I'm in the same boat...getting my sputum test on 24-25-26 Nov and repeat chest x-ray in mid-Feb 2015 :(

Are you from Bombay by any chance?

Police certificates
All applicants must submit police certificates/clearances as part of the application
process.
You and all of your family members who are 18 years of age and older and who are not already permanent
residents or Canadian citizens will have to provide:
a valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six
consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for
the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.
