Hi Friends.

I called up my consultancy today and they informed me that there were two applicants from FSW2013 who were waiting for PPR from NDVO, Got the visa this week..Looks like 2014 applicants have to wait for long time...Thought of updating especially for people who are waiting for PPR.

I am wondering why there isn't only 12 hours instead 24 in a day, as my clock reads only 12 hours, which can make me more close to the destination.

Dear Asif,

Do CIO again re-access the application for points or they treat the previous points if they had calculated any?

Last time I had submitted some AFFIDAVITS to claim 5 points for the relatives (For my Wife).
As their parents names are looking different due to some spelling mistakes on their marksheets.

But incase I don't need these points any more (as I am having 74 without claiming these points), so could I drop these affidavits in order to avoid any further delay incase this is making the process complex>

Looking for your advise.

Alongwith our application, do we have to furnish copies of only new passports or copies of old passports are also necessary.
CIC guidelines say - valid passports.

Hi buddy,
Substitued evaluation mean two things
1. Giving a positive evaluation though there is some point by which the case can be rejected --- very very rare indeed
2. Giving a negative decision even though all criterias are met ---
Lets say you cross 67 points, you have sufficient amount and langauge proficiency is good, age is ok, still you can get rejected based on the Visa officer's discretion called the "Substituted evaluation"
The only thing is that this does not happen often, because if there is any doubt in a VO's mind they will ask for further documents as proof. If you provide them, they will give a positive decision. In case of interviews they can give a substituted evaluation if the applicant cannot satisfy the VO with his answers. This is different from misrepresentation though. Misrepresentation ends in a 2 year ban. Substituted evaluation just gets the case rejected....

selection criteria. It cannot be used to overcome an applicant's failure to meet eligibility criteria
under Ministerial Instructions, minimum requirements or the requirement for settlement funds.

Nope, to me it appears a clear applied sciences field. More like chip design, computer architecture. IT doesn't come directly under it's purview, unlike this year where they have clear demarcation of IT (Database/Analyst/Programming). Even engineering is explicitly mentioned here.

To me generic IT fields as per the current list seem less in focus for CIC in EE.

IT skills will always there ....
