What is CIIP? Was it an interview call?

Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) is a free orientation services offered to all applicants (during/post medical and/or security check )

The purpose of the CIIP orientation session is to help you understand how to use labour market information and how to get your credentials/qualifications assessed and recognized. You will also learn how to access local resources through Canadian partners who can help in your job search and in the settlement process. Immigrants to Canada who have participated in these sessions have described them as very important to their early labour market success.

Interview call would be before medical and will be conducted by respective VO to help them understand you and your details mentioned in the application form (In short).

In nut shell, there is no direct bridge between CIIP and Interview call. Both are different.

Thanks. Actually it is not about me. During googling about "Substituted Evaluation" which is one of the measure that officers in Visa Office might use while evaluating your documents. This gentlment who got this message has provided the evidence of having sufficient amount in his bank accounts with his application.
Despite of the fact they have rejected, by mentioning this sentence, despite of having 67-points.

May be they are studying all of the factors like your qualification and whether you have been working for a sufficient number of years etc. But really I could not understand. There can be only two reasons:-
1)- Money
2)-Ability to find a job after reaching in canada

If someone on the forum has different opinion please share.

After getting 67 points one must be able to show sufficient funds to show that he can become economical stable in canada..!!

ability to find work or work experience in considered in the first stage of getting 67 points.. so the only reason left is the proof of funds..

I think that could be the only reason of rejection after getting 67 points..!!

That is why m worried about my application.. people who have send their application even on 3rd June are also getting medical request.. where as my application was received on 29th may 2014 by cic..
how would I know whether my file has been transferred to visa office or not?? please guide..

There are two ways to know that, you may raise Case specific enquiry to visa office for the same, and you may get second line updated on your ECAS....

Also do not worry you will hear soon from NDVO, i am also 21st may applicant waiting for MR request till date and there are many before me with same status, so stay positive and you be hear soon...

you should send your file as soon as possible, a week or two is safe... also make sure you send a covering letter mentioning the exact reason for resending your file and also asking them to ignore the first one..

But there is still a chance that they will accept my first application. What will happen if they accept my first application and then they receive my second application in same NOC ?

Substitued evaluation mean two things
1. Giving a positive evaluation though there is some point by which the case can be rejected --- very very rare indeed
2. Giving a negative decision even though all criterias are met ---
Lets say you cross 67 points, you have sufficient amount and langauge proficiency is good, age is ok, still you can get rejected based on the Visa officer's discretion called the "Substituted evaluation"
The only thing is that this does not happen often, because if there is any doubt in a VO's mind they will ask for further documents as proof. If you provide them, they will give a positive decision. In case of interviews they can give a substituted evaluation if the applicant cannot satisfy the VO with his answers. This is different from misrepresentation though. Misrepresentation ends in a 2 year ban. Substituted evaluation just gets the case rejected....

I too received this email from NDVO today.

I too received this email from NDVO today morning..my 3rd line was updated with " Mediacals received" last week Tuesday though. I thought the back ground checks already been done or waived. But in the mail it says as below:

"You, your spouse and your working age dependents become eligible to participate in CIIP when you are completing the application process for a Canadian immigration visa, usually at the stage where you have been requested to undergo your medical examinations, and security and background checks have been initiated. Please be aware that being eligible for, or actually participating in an orientation session, is not a guarantee or an indicator that your immigration application will ultimately be successful or that you will receive an immigrant visa. "

Does that mean we need to undergo medicals again. I am confused....or is this an indication of PPR is nearby!!!any idea guys...please advise.
