"Just Tracked with the bank", that exactly is the problem...With whom exactly you tracked in the bank? I have seen many people in India just walking into a bank and talking with the relationship manager/clerk/customer executive about their foreign currency draft..Now typically, these people are ill-informed about the rules related to a "foreign currency draft"...they just give out information to you, based upon their knowledge of domestic drafts...domestic drafts expire (or as u said, "go stale") in 3 months....however, foreign currency international drafts remain valid for 6 months...Hence your draft has "Not gone stale"....contact the bank again, this time some senior official (preferably the bank manager), explain him the entire situation and ask him to get in touch with the "Nostro Accounts" team of the bank to enquire about the status of your DD....Nostro Accounts teams are typically the team in the banks which take care of international drafts and have full/complete knowledge to help you better...

Thanks a lot for your response..... spoke to BM and he got confirmation from his nostro team. as per the tieup kotak issues cheques for RBC and under their agreement they have a understanding that the cheques issued are valid for 3 months.... These cheques are given out by Kotak as FCY DDs and kotak has an escrow account with RBC thus the status stale which shows on the system is correct.... however i have requested them to activiate the DD if the instrument is not yet come for negotiation...... do you know anyone who has sent DD from Kotak india. thanks again

How are they supposed to clear PER backlog of end July and August apps in one week as per current speed?

I agree .. unless CIC has redbull and start working .. It may take longer for them to start with Aug applicants.

is cold storm in anyways slowing down the process? The temperatures have alarmingly dropped down in North America

How long does london visa office take for Sending MR request after PER. I had sent an email with updated address which got updated in my Ecas today, exactly 4 weeks after PER. Does that mean my file is under processing

What i could see from the SS, that two applicants have got PPR request from NDVO. They both are May 2014 applicant and received their PPR request exactly after 6 months (+ some 7-10 days) !!!

However there are many applicant from May 2014 who are yet to receive PPR request.

Hoping that all the May applicant to get PPR request during December and Starting Jan 2015 PPR request for the June applicant should start pouring in.

What do you mean by wrong? if you mean that they're not 3.5x4.5 or somthng about their specifications.
If yes, don't be worry, a friend of mine sent 4x6 photos and he's sending his Medicals these days

Any SEP applicant located in Canada received returned package? I think c-check for SEP applications are all finished but still no one got returned package?

Currently we have some records:
1. 7/24 - physically received on 10/21
2. 8/6 - physically received on 10/31
3. 8/13 - returned on 10/27
4. 8/27 - returned on 10/31

Is CIC busy returning cap filled packages so no SEP applicants got returned?

If any returned package, not so soon.
my friend in Europe received a returned package from CIC in one month.

Dear All.. I have sent my application under NOC 2172 and it will reach CIC by 21st November. What are the chances of considering my app? As of now i can see, only 134 apps got filled and hoping for +ve news. By when my card will be charged if any chances? Anyone suggest please??

no thats not true as money is in nostro account which is fcy , your dd need to be validate and that can be done online just tell them revalidate the dd and still if they dont do and cic represent the dd for debit than kotak nostro bank will contact kotak mumbai branch to revalidate the same
