One of my friend got MR from NDVO and was asked for the IMM0008 form again.
He sent the form, signing it. But missed to write his name in the last page.
Will that be an issue?

No issue but rest is luck.

Hello everyone,

Need some urgent replies, am 31st July applicant. DD issued from Kotak Mahindra bank on 23 July. They have some sort of tieup with Royal bank of canada for issuing DDs. Just tracked with the bank and they have stated that the instrument (i.e. DD) has gone stale. as they claim that as per RBI and International guidelines all DDs go stale after 3 months and no further information can be found regarding the claimed DD. Am in real anxiety and do not know what my chances are or what will happen to my application. have applied under 1123.

Please share if anyone has gone through similar situation.

"Just Tracked with the bank", that exactly is the problem...With whom exactly you tracked in the bank? I have seen many people in India just walking into a bank and talking with the relationship manager/clerk/customer executive about their foreign currency draft..Now typically, these people are ill-informed about the rules related to a "foreign currency draft"...they just give out information to you, based upon their knowledge of domestic drafts...domestic drafts expire (or as u said, "go stale") in 3 months....however, foreign currency international drafts remain valid for 6 months...Hence your draft has "Not gone stale"....contact the bank again, this time some senior official (preferably the bank manager), explain him the entire situation and ask him to get in touch with the "Nostro Accounts" team of the bank to enquire about the status of your DD....Nostro Accounts teams are typically the team in the banks which take care of international drafts and have full/complete knowledge to help you better...

Hi All,

I submitted my medicals and RPRF payment last month and the DD got encashed on 24th October. Can you suggest by when can I expect a communication from New Delhi Embassy for passport request? And how much time is usually given to submit the passports. I am currently out of India, and want to know if I have to come back to India to submit passport or if I can send it via a friend and submit in the VFS center?

No one knows how much time NDVO is going to take to send PPR. Its just a handful of people who have received the PPR rest everyone is waiting for it..anxiously...
But let me tell one thing it's illegal to make your passport cross any country's border, while its not in your posession, so I Suggest, when you get the PPR, please spare your time to come over and submit it. There might be any other way of submitting it to the VO, in the country you currently are in.
I might be wrong, seniors, please suggest....

Cool dear. It means you are in the CAP. So relax and wait for good news soon as you are DD applicant.

Congratulations Betty. Expect PER with 2 - 3 Weeks. Currently 23,24,25 and one applicant of 28th Jul have reported PER's

I am currently living in Toronto on a study permit and sent by FSW application in Oct 2014. According to discussion across this forum I dont see my CC getting charged before January end 2015.

I am planning to move into a new address from Jan 2015. How can i update CIC on this change knowing the fact that I would not have got neither a CC or a PER.
