Hello all,

My update may be a bit stale and I would like to apologize because it has been pretty busy from my end. First top, I would like to request the admins to delete my 2nd entry in the SS under NOC 1224 as I have already requested that app to be withdrawn and keep the below details in the sheet.

VO Started processing as per ECAS: November 7, 2014
MR & RPRF Request: November 11, 2014 (almost 1 month after receipt of PER)
We are scheduled to undergo our medicals this Sunday, November 23, 2014.

May I post the below questions please hoping for some advise and answers:
1. I understand that the next step after the VO receives our medical results & RPRF payments is for them to request for our passports (correct me if I'm wrong), my question is, how long will it now take till the visa is issued?
2. May I also request if anyone can share with me some guidelines as to what to expect after the visa is issued? i.e. at what point should you do the landing, how long is the validity of the PR visa, etc. Is there any link that says all these?

Congrats !

1. LVO is bit faster, they will ask PPR soon by 3-5 weeks time once Medicals/PCC/RPRF is cleared.
2. PR visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of Medicals. Or if any passport expiry before 1 year from medicals, which ever is less.

Hi Guys,

I have few queries, can you please help me in clearing my doubts.

• My wife passport is pre marriage and it only contains her first name & no family name. While applying under FSWP 2014 I have given the photocopies of the same.
Now I’am unable to search her in ECAS status because there is no family name & while searching with First name it gives result not found? How do I search her status ??

• Would her pre marriage passport without any family name or my name cause an issue while getting the VISA or should I get her passport generated with my family name? Or it can be an issue as I have submitted her old passport copies?

My Timelines:

Application Sent date: 5th May 2014

2nd line updated 20 nov.

Will update the SS tomorrow.

CONGRATS ! Ankit

1. You will still have her UCI# in MR form, you can check thru that
2. Advice you to get your name after her name in PP, as while PCC, PSK will ask spouse name in her PP, i.e. ur name so better to get it done, And even in future no other hurdles to face.
3. Get a new PP, do that first step, doent matter if u hv submitted older copies to CIC, but now you can submit updated copies @ VO. (recommened with a cover letter with explanation of the case what was the reason of renewal of PP)
