App rcvd date: 15th August 2014.

Thank you for your kind wishes. There are many LVO members, those got PPR already even they got MR after me. My 3rd line was updated within two days after medicals done. Hope for the best.

Hello Senior members,

I am a 9th June applicant received PER on 04th Oct. I Send an email to NDVO last week with regards to my Application Status and below is the reply I got from them today......

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Please be advised that your file is still pending the initial review by the office. At present no action is required on your part. Once the review is complete and next step is detemined, our office will contact you with further instructions.


Can anyone explain what does this email means..... Have they not started the processing of my file yet is it still in queue .... Or they are waiting for the Background Verification to get complete.

Please need some comments from seniors on this......

Avoid writing to NDVO unless really required. You generally get MR in around 45-60 days. you have just about completed around 45 days. Have patience, you will receive the MR request soon. Write to NDVO if you do not receive med request even after 60 days !!!

MY FILE reached on 10 SEPT 2014 ,NOC 2171 cap has reached 553.Kindly tell me will I fall within CAP?

No dear ...its not case ...I got PER in june and still waiting for passport request ...so 4-5 months already completed...no rule of thumb ...it might take 6-7 months after PER ...

This reply was for a person who applied in june and got per in sept or oct.
From that point, it will only take about 5 months but YES you are also correct, its only an educated guess.
More time can also be taken.

I received my PER on 19th.August and since then have been waiting for MR(NDVO)......anybody from that period who has received MR......how long do they take to send MR request???

will there be a problem if we dont update our tax status? we got married last aug and we applied for fsw and our marital status is not yet married on our tax but we have the marriage cert already. pls help thanks

Canol .....in my case it took 3 months for NDVO to generate MR after PER ...
and God know when they will start with PPR's flood ...they stopped only after 2 PPR's.

NOC Cap does not give exact idea.In a day,they can make it 1000 from 553.So pray when they will do it,we all will be in cap.All the best and lets Pray.Door can be opened for us only when you go through in as 10th Sept applicant.

What are KYC docs for spouse (i heard of know your customer)?? You mean to say I have to wait till PER for further correspondence and adding spouse....and in the meanwhile i can prepare the relevant forms and documents ? My VO will be london.

Lol, I used the word KYC as I am from banking. good catch. Should have mentioned "docs required by CIC" for spouse.

No point in sending docs to CIC now as your completeness check must have happened long back and even if your docs reach CIC in 2 days time, they wont be added to your application now.

Yes, prepare the docs for spouse and send them to LVO 20 days after you get your PER. By that time, they will get all required details on your case from CIC.
