I am moving to USA on H1b , I got PER mail on 21 Sept, 2014 , My question is can I get my medicals done from USA and submit my Passport in USA for stamping? Incase everything goes fine.

Please guide what to do in this case

I got my request for update and Medical on 1 oct.
my Medical sent on 3 Nov by doctor and they updated my ECASE by medical result have been received on 7 Nov.
I sent my requsted documents such as PCC, CV and RPRF on 10 Nov. by Courier; but till now there is no line indicating PROCCESSING STARTED has appeared in my ECASE.
my application is in Paris VO. do you think guys it is normal?

My VO is also Paris and here's my time line.

I did medical checks on 15th October, and I was told that the results would be sent by the end of the day.

The "medical results received" status had appeared on 21st Oct. And there was only 1st and 2nd line on ECAS. No "process started line"

Then, on 31st Oct. the third line appeared as the second line saying "process started on 28th Oct." ; and "medical results..." line became third line.

In summary:

15 october : medicals done
21 october : medicals received by VO
28 october : process started (but the line appeared on 31th oct.)

nothing further yet...

I hope this will ease your worried mind. I believe from now on all you have to do is wait patiently. I know it's excruciating as I am in that state too, but we should just relax and all will be fine

Yes you can go for medical in USA, for passport submission you need to inform your current VO to transfer your file to USA for further processing along with all updated documents from USA...

Can't make out how should I feel ;D

What happens to Valid Visa if the passport is expired and is replaced by renewed passport ?

I have US B1/B2 visa (valid till Sep'2016) on my current passport. I am applying for passport renewal as current passport will expire in July'2015.

Will I lose my US visa ?

You can still travel on the visa. Make sure you have your new passport stapled to the old one.

No...you have to carry old passport till visa expiry alongwith you while travelling to USA...

No...u just need to carry both passport on ur next travel..They will transfer the visa to the new passport at destination

yes you can provided you update your info being changed with your VO through CSE. Case specific enquiry URL address will be provided to you in your PER email already besides all related info.

1-its better to inform VO.
just get a 'statuatory declaration' signed by you, get notarized AND send them.

i mixed up my both parents 'date of death' and sent on same pattern.

2- it DOESNOT affect.

I made an error of a month while filling in the birth date of my Mother in Schedule A - Background declaration.
I got my PER on 30th October.
1. When should i update her corrected birth date, should it be at VO or CIC?
2. Will it affect my application?

I am 24th July applicant and applied under NOC 1212 my HDFC bank dd is not en cashed yet.

I have called CIC many times but they don't reveal any information and its been almost 25 days still no response of an e-mail from CIC.

Please advise what should I do now.

Dear...Many here are waiting for update regarding 2173 after 12/08.But no news till now.Waiting is the only key in our hand.Be patience everything will be cleared soon.Few seniors have already given their view that at least all august applicants should be in Cap..but no one can guarantee and keep your hope alive until no update from our forum friends.
