Reason: I did not furnish original WES report.
Also looks like the job duties i had provided did not go with the one i applied.

My gut feeling is 2171 would be capped next.

Other IT related NOC's are done and dusted already.. So express entry might be the option for now.

I applied for the NOC 2173 and the appln reached CIC office on 02-Oct-2014. Currently, the trend says I might not be in the CAP and my application might be returned becoz CAP has been reached the limit...Whn can i expect my appln back..

Can I send the appln for the another NOC i.e 2172 (Database analyst ) after my appln is recd or can i send a fresh appln now.
But the problem i don't have sound exposure in this field but just worked for a year or so..Would there be any problem if I show the experience letter for this occupation for more than 5 years though i dont have much exp in this occupation...

on Cap 2173 sorry you wont make it in cap
On NOC 2172 its relative pretty cold NOC .. you try it but job duties should match otherwise they will reject it

You can apply provided you have more then 12 months of experience in your NOC - 2172.. Experience in your old NOC 2173 may remain as it is and you will get points for the experience.

We are not sure 2173 cap is only for end of Aug'14 applications.. It can also include all later applications for which completeness has been checked and found ok ... So wait and watch this forum and the SS for updates before you come to a conclusion

it looks like some applications were returned due to Forms were of old version. My case is more risky, I used the cracked pdf, which was converted to word format so that I could add more lines wherever I wanted - for example, add more space for addresses, and work histories. Will that be a problem? Could it be a reason to reject my application?

YUP!!
But i recommend you to apply for a PCC..NVDO may or may not ask for PCC with passport request. I was in same situation and i already kept a new PCC with me for safer side.As the PCC is having 1 year validity the new one will be valid till Nov 2015

My PCC is valid till May 2015...is it ok?
and along with documents to be submitted to NDVO..do we have to send any cover letter?

I wud like to ask those pepl whu along with the MR request were ask to submit Recent Job related letter from recent employer (as i have seen few pepl mentioning it). What exactly NDVO wants when it raises such request. Is it that the applicant has to resubmit recent reference letter covering job responsibilities or just a letter on Company's letterhead showing that the Mr. XYZ has been working with us from so and so date (Just like a normal employment proof)..??

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I have 2 questions if someone who is more experienced can help.

In order to prevent any issues when charging fee to a CC, I have sent 2 fee payment authorization forms for 2 different CC. Also, attached a cover letter that they can charge the fee to either of the 2 CCs as both are authorized on their individual fee payment forms.

I was able to get employment verifications from current & previous employers but could not get any verification from the 2 employers before that. So I put those job descriptions on plain paper & self signed the documents stating that I was unable to obtain the job descriptions from those employers. I also sent tax return documents and severance letter for 1 of them.

In your experience, will either of the above cause any issues ?

In my view you should be in cap since cap update based on completeness check
dont retrieve fixed deposit now. wait for couple of week
