Hi,

I am no senior but I am just making the logical guess. I think the payment mode also play a factor in counting the application toward caps.

For DD application, once the completeness check is over, it will be counted toward cap due to the secure nature of DD.

For CC application, only after the CC charging is successful, it may be counted toward cap. We have seen many applications returned due to unsuccessful CC charge.

I got my this assumption after seeing the charging of 2171 August applicants in one shot over a week. And it is also natural to consider the application as complete only with the successful payment.

I might be wrong though. This is just my take.

Hi, I have a query. Is the application counted into the cap after completeness check and before getting charged?

I am an Aug 19th applicant for NOC 2173 and my mode of payment was a certified cheque from Canada which means immediate encashing.

Just wondering if I would have made into the cap as some of the posts say all August applicants under NOC 2173 have fallen into the cap..

Thanks!

I have applied under insurance category
0121 Insurance manager for 3 and a half years.

Consecutively I have 1 and a half years of experience as an insurance agent.
Does that count under my experience too.

Please remmeber agent gets commission and is not an employee of the organization.

Hi Tansam,

Regarding sending docs to NDVO I would recommend Speed post ,registered post or courier as you may track it.I personally send mine via
speed post.I am not quite sure about your first question regarding name appearing on your receipt.

Regards

Hi Forumites,

It seems the pace at which this thread is growing, most of the queries are not getting responses.

In a way its good to see the popularity of this thread but on the other side for some applicants its a worry for not getting responses.

At present I have 2 queries:

- I made the payment through CC even when I gave all the details (Name, Address, DOB, Postal Code), but on the receipt only my name & receipt # is reflecting. Kindly, confirm whether anyone in this forum had the similar experience.

- How the documents (MR, PP copy, Request Letter, RPRF receipt) were sent to NDVO: Normal Post, Registered Post, Speed Post, Courier or by hand.

Hope this time my query doesn't got lost.

Hi everyone.

I have a doubt. My courier ll be reaching to ns tomorrow . When would I know that my file is accepted nd when I would know I'm part of capping . Will my employer receive a call before cc is charged or after ?

NDVO will do the background checks after the file has been transferred to VO (that would be around ~120 days from the date of app received or so)

A question -

My son's passport will expire next year in May. I will apply for new passport for him in coming days.. Just in case I am not able to notify the CIC about new Passport number before Medicals, Can I do it at any stage. What If the PPR is generated and VISA is issued on older passport. What will be the validity of VISA then and whether he will be able to travel.. I hope he will by carrying both the passports.

HI seniors,

Appreciate all support given to us I am Aug 7th 2133 applicant waiting for CC charge.

I have a question, Unfortunately My father passed away 3 weeks back, Do I need to inform to CIC.

- You can just include the receipt and include a cover letter. Receipt number is enough to track your payment.
- You can choose any of the above to send the documents. However, Registered/speed post or courier would be safe.

Sorry to hear that...
But I dont think they really care much about Parents.. Canada/America consider You, your spouse and your children as family only..

2173 capped now..
So can we assume data will be updated once noc reaches cap?

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]Dear all,

Strange that 2173 is capped but overall count still shows 8101, and if you notice the last update date below: its 10th Nov.
Its little strange. I am sure, all out here must have been watching the overall cap as well, till yesterday, it was not updated.

But how come if the underlying cap for 2173 is increased but the total count remains the same as last update, i.e 8101.

Something fishy ........ ?

Any guesses ???
