-14 is not cold in Canada! When you come here, you might even experience -40!

Thats not cold for calgary. The really cold temperatures are usually during the night.
If there is no wind the cold in calgary is fine because it is dry and sunny in wintwr.
I rememer minus 25. We were happy if neighbour kids offered to shovel our drivewa for 5 bucks
The coldest temperature during the day I experienced was minus 42
I left the house through our garage in the car to get groceries. I had no gloves on.
When i left the car to the supermarked those few meters until I was in the store my hands huertso bad I almost cried.
That was too cold. But those temperatures are rare
In Calgary the weater changes fast and the snow comes fast and goes fast.
In Edmonton the snow stays forever

Hahaha! They go to work in minus 30 trust me
They have plug ins and indoor path downtown
Kids go to school
But you need a warm coat

Iwish to change my NOC from 2172 to 2171. Out of my four years of experience i can get one and half years of 2171 experience. Can i appy for NOC 2171 if have only 1 year of exp out of my four years experience

I heard the worst cold is in Regina its like a knife on your skin if its windy

Yes it hot. 0C to +10 is more comfortable if its not windy.

I submitted my FSW application on the 14th of August 2014 and When i track the mail, it says it has been delivered to Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada. But I have not received any reply from them yet. I sent an email to the email address provided a month ago, just to check the status, but they have not replied as yet.


Could you advise, what shall I do to chase it up?

Courior acknowledgement is the only confirmation of application delivery. CIO respond to your queries in 45 days time.

The cost recovery fee is payable at the time the application is made to the CIO. An applicant may withdraw an application and receive a refund of the cost recovery fee at any time before processing of the application begins at the CIO. This rule also applies to applications that are not eligible for processing according to the Ministerial Instructions. Once processing has begun at the CIO, the cost recovery fee is not refundable.

For the Federal Skilled Worker Class, processing starts with a positive determination of eligibility for processing at the CIO following assessment against the criteria of applicable Ministerial Instructions. In order to be eligible to receive a refund of the cost recovery fee, an applicant must request a withdrawal of their application before this determination of eligibility for processing has been made. If an applicant requests a change in immigration class at any time, a new application and new cost recovery fee must be submitted. An applicant may have more than one application in process at a given time, but only one application can be finalized with visa issuance. Any additional applications must therefore be finalized as withdrawn or refused

You send the rectified document asap dont wait for anything... unless you got the charged and waiting for PER and stuff if you have been charged i guess all other information can be sent to Local VO.
