Also, have u dropped any email for inquiry on status of your app....if not I would suggest you to do that or you u can even call on their number.

All the best..!!

I will wait for another month and take action

We are being punished cause we responded a little bit faster
and submitted our application faster.
Then we have to wait for more than 110 days (and who knows may be more) while others for less than 80 days

Truly fair!!!!!!

I am not against what is happening with 2171/2173 but other NOCs should also get their fair share of acting fast in sending their applications.

Yeah, thank you CIO for showing us that none 217x people are of second sort in Canada.

PCC is required for all applicants above 18 years of age.

I got it done from Police Commissioner's office, as well as PSK (Bangalore).

The one that Police Commissioner's office gives has ur address, date from when u are living at that address, reason for applying for the PCC etc... The application fee is Rs. 200 per head. Due to some issues with those dates, my consultant suggested me to get a new one from PSK.

I applied at PSK on 21st Oct, and got it on 25th. The application fee is Rs. 500 per head.

You have to pay the fees online and visit PSK between 9 to 11 AM. You will have to complete all the procedures (finger print submission, document verification etc) at the PSK (this should take around 2 and half hours). Then you will be contacted by your local police station. They will either visit you at your address or they will ask you to go to the police station. Either ways, just request them to process it fast, provide all the documents that they ask you to (along with photographs). If they do their part of the job promptly, the rest of the process is very smooth.

Hope this helps.

Well explained, Thanks deviim15. Giving my first like for you, Cheers ;D

This is most likely the PER (Positive eligibility review). Your email which you have received must have these lines. Congrats

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office".

Dear Smart, My sense is that it has more to do with the number of applications in the month of May and the number diminished in june, july and Aug before picking up again in Sep, Oct. Being first is always a positive. Stay intact with your this habit, it will help in larger life. Good luck.

Thanks,
Kris

Are these genuine entries???? Can't believe 25th Aug also charged, what about other applications..
There can't be so specific charging... I am 21st Aug applicant -2173.. no news yet.. and i am sure there are many more.
Can't really understand the trend here.. It seems by tomorrow CIC would start charging the Sept applicants.. almost covered the entire month (aug) in 1 day.. Still wondering!!!!!!

Don't. This department has no standards. You might as well guess tomorrow's weather or usd/cad conversion rate.

Re: Very Urgent : HR Manager Resigned, update to NDVO..??

No, that will not be necessary. Let me explain why I say so.

1. The HR Manager who signed your letter was the authorized signatory as on that day the letter was issued.
2. Even if you happen to be one of the rare ones whose referral check is done, the HR department will confirm what the previous HR manager signed off on.
3. Nowhere, nowhere on the CIC website does it ask you to inform CIC about the HR manager changing. Yes, you are required to inform them if you yourself change jobs. Though many do not and are not impacted negatively.
4. CIC understands that the visa processing is a long drawn affair and HR manager, just like everyone else, will at times change jobs.

You know it is easy to fall into the trap of over-thinking this and focusing on what can go wrong. I would suggest that you have faith, and let the process take its course. Have faith in the process that has worked so well for so many and will also work for you.
