still confused, some says that this is PER issued and some say applications received. by comparing the latest PER issued for hot NOCs (such as 2174 which has reached 1000) can we find a correct answer to this?

It has been established now and we can safely say that cap is based neither on applications recd nor on per issued. It is based on completion checks.

Hi to all,

NOC 4011 went from 86 to 235. My husband will be applying on December do you guys think the NOC will get filled. Do we have a chance. Nervous because although application will be received on December they will check or open our application by March according to numbers posted.

Please advise

Lots of chance.

Does it mean CIC updated cap for 2171 after completeness check and not after cc charge/per email?
Same will be true for 2173 as well? Meaning current 699 applications for 2173 should include if not all aug applications but atleast till 15th aug?
Mine reached on sep 30th for 2173, that's why little tensed.

you have understood correctly

Guys i have very good news for you all, after sometime of having the hesitation about the CAP updates and how it is being estimated and either for completeness check or CC charge or PER. i decided earlier last month to send an email to CIC asking about that specifically. here below the reply i got today

Dear Sir/Madam:

The website provides an estimate only of the applications included in the cap.

Until the application is checked for completeness, it cannot be confirmed as being received. Once it has been determined that the submission is complete, it is counted in the cap and the information is updated electronically. Due to high volumes of submissions, there is a lag between confirmation of receipt of a complete application and the electronic update of the cap count.

Hi CanOl!

I'm confused. Could you elaborate on this more?

As far I know CAP was based on PERs with the exemption on the 2174 update that made it 1K which most people in the thread assumed as based on completeness check in order to CAP out 2174 to stop people from submitting.

Regards! :)

No. It should be around Aug 15th - Aug 23rd. Remember this is based on completeness check and not PER.
Hello CanOl, Do you mean CAP updated yesterday is based on the completeness check, means August apps passed thru the completeness check are included in this CAP updated?

O Captain! My Captain!

I've learned a lot from you!

Could you clarify what is CSE? It's not on the Abbreviations tab of the SS (just checked :)).

Cse is case specific enquiry which can be done to vo after per

Hi Guys...Sorry for re-posting... Anyone??

I think they would just return the application by post. No separate intimation from their side would come.

But you should not lose hope as of now. It is now well known that cap updates are based on completeness check now [It was evident for 2174 as there were two updates within a day ]. You may still fall within cap as latest cc charging is for 23-24 July applicants. You are just 4-5 dates away from it.

Since there are no 1112 applicants between 18th july (last cc charge for 1112) and 30th july on this spreadsheet, I guess you will just have to sit and wait for 1-2 weeks to get a clearer picture. All the best. My hunch is 1112 will remain alive for 1-2 more weeks.. assuming 35-40 apps per week after 10 october update of 741 gives us 6-7 weeks. I think the 10th oct update was for counting till 3rd October actually ( as seen from Phd section) so that gives you the date of 14th to 21st Nov for it to get filled.

hi
Got positive determination of eligibility by cic today but they didnt mentioned the vosa office the email. when i will get to know my visa office.
thanks

You vo should be the one you filled in your appkication. If you are in India it is NDVO. My PER mail also doesn't contain any information about VO.

Good news for NDVO applicants, just had a chat with Chris and raised the issue/frustration of NDVO applicants as none has received PPR....... he has taken-up the matter with the VO and instructed them to start issuing PPR in 2-3 weeks.

The above timeline is based on the fact that NDVO needs to finalize as much apps as possible before 31st Dec 2014 to meet their annual targets. Candidates are given 30 days to submit the passport, so NDVO has to start issuing PPR by 3rd week of Nov. My personal guess is that they were holding on to PPR to focus on completing processing of as much applicants and issue MR & PCC (time consuming requirements) and then quickly finish stamping visa as passports start pouring in Dec.

thanks for sharing shah, but who is this Chris?

In my limited knowledge Chances of rejection are least due to this reason. But if you have time then send updated form to cio.
