Whether anyone given reference letter in letter head signed by colleague & got MR or Visa.

NDVO not accepting anyone sign other than HR. They scrutinize & refusing such case.

Whether plain paper reference letter with visiting card will be replaced in VO for letter head reference letter signed by colleague.
15th Aug applicant, if sent to CIO I don't think CIO will replace.

Hello everyone,

Sorry I'm new at this forum and I don't understand a lot of abbreviations here,

My Application recieved in 11th July 2014
NOC: 1123
I've received now an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) from the CIO with my UCI and file number,

Is the AOR is the same as PER ?? and if not .. what is the difference ?

and what is next ?

Thanks a lot

After sending your application to CIO, an officer will check if it is complete then see if you meet the eligibility criteria and gather 67 points at the minumum. If you passed all this screening successfully, they will issue you PER which refers to (Positive Eligibility Review) and this comes as an e-mail that your file is accepted and will be transfered to the Canadian Visa office serving your country.

AOR is another term referring to (Acknowledgement of Receipt), which is an e-mail sent to the applicant by the visa office informing him that they received his file for further processing.

So, to recap, PER is sent by CIO (the centralized intake office in Nova Scotia) and it comes before AOR which is sent by VISA OFFICE after receiving the file from CIO.

In regard to the following steps after AOR, your application will be put under scrutiny in VISA OFFICE where background check (Criminality and Employment history) will be carried out for your file, and your documents will be checked. If outcomes are fine, you will receive a request to do a medical examination, then finally if all things go in the right way your passport will be requested to get the Visa stamped. note there is a possibility of intreview with the visa officer especially before medical request.

Hi All, Not sure whether someone noticed this or not. As per CIC total Apps- 8101 and there are around 3800 entries in our SS.
Considering that these updates on CIC are till Aug applicants, then we are left with <1000 users in SS. It simply concludes that 35-40% people are from our forum outta these 8101 total applicants.
Cheers to this forum. Good luck everyone!!

So The AOR comes after the PER , is it ?

The email received today says:

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office."

Is that PER or AOR ?

I wrote Sydney Nova Scotia coz I read it online in a blog. Now I read CIC guideline and it says write you visa office. Which is london I think in my case as I live in UAE.
So what should I do ? Please quick tell.

My application is with the agent still who is ICCRC agent. Should I ask him to fix it?
or is it ok the way it is.
Hope you will reply soon.

Fix it then.

Yes, exactly PER is before AOR.

What you received is definitely PER.

Congratulations and Good Luck.

Congrats, you have received you PER

No buddy, that's not whole truth.

Many frnds of mine working in a reputed group and reference letters (on letter head) signed by their immidiate supervisor have been accepted by CIO / NDVO and they hv got PRs and Medicals.

What I mean to say is, if HR signs ur letters, its good but even if your manager / employer signs ur letter, it WORKs for sure.!
