Dear Forumites,

Has anyone heard about " Racism " in Canada, In employment or other social life course ? Do it exist in Canada ? I read many cases in USA and Australia but not sure in canada. : :

Do any one has idea about this ? :'( :'( :'( :'(

I heard someone saying that he does not like the Chinese flood the Country, or call the East Indians Diaper Heads.
Many Canadians dont like the Americans. They are not as friendly as the Canadians and have no idea how Canadians live.
But it was never hatefull more funny ;D

These are instances of big talk that you can come across anywhere in the world. Racism is another issue.

Well. The worst racists here are newcomers themselves who recently turned Canadian. I am in Ontario.

Not in Canada, In Canada Racism is taken very seriously and has severe laws to deal with it.

I think when it comes to racism, attitude of people in general matters more than the laws. However stricter laws are, they can't solve the issue of racism if people themselves are not willing to stop it. For example, a law can't force an employer to hire someone or a law cannot stop someone giving that racist look as it's very difficult to prove that there's anything wrong!

Very rare cases. I am in Canada from past 4 years, never came across any such things.

Since you're in Canada for almost 4 years, can you tell us are you liking it there? How different is it from USA?

Is it easy to find Indian food in city like Toronto or Vancouver?

Sometimes you can't when these naturalized Canucks represent the authorities, for instance. It's not that bad, really, but it's sure enough not a rainbow-and-unicorn type of country.

Its not New comers fault. It takes time to get use to new environment, new people, new culture, etc. Give them some time and they will be ok. Also remember that we were new to Canada someday as well.

Dear suhits Yes, i have knowledge about Australian PR.

1) Australian PR Govt. Fee is too higher then Canadian PR.
2) If you have 7 Band in each in IELTS and accumulated 60 points then only apply for it under 189 sub class Independent Visa (where you can go to any part of Australia after ),
otherwise have to wait for other options, which are rare and difficult, like 190 Sub class state sponsorship (have to stay in particular state for 2 year) or 489 sub visa regional sponsorship (have to stay in particular regional area for 2 year).

If you want to know more detail, PM me because this forum is for Canadian PR, i will try to help you with the information whatever i have with Australian PR.

I sent application to NDVO to add new born last week. I have already received MR & PRPF request from NDVO this week without my child's medicals request.

So can you suggest what to do?
1) Shall I go for upfront medicals of my child with us sooner than later?
2) Or shall I wait for week or 2, so that they process my child application send medical request for him as well?
3) Or shall I wait for a week to my child's application DD being encashed and then go for upfront medicals?
OR any other opinion?

Note: I have already sent NDVO a mail early this week in which they mentioned they haven't process my child application yet and may take several days to process and add in my file.

It's interesting how everyone has a different UCI under the same application.
I am not sure but definitely this may be the reason:---
UCI is given differently because the SIN and PR Card reference will be separate for each individual and the later will be give as per UCI.

For ours, principal applicant was X, spouse was Y, children were Y+1 and Y+2, but X and Y seemed to have no relationship.
I didn't get the point which i highlighted in red?
