I sent the courier on 31st oct via UPS with expected date of delivery as 5th nov

today the status of my courier says "05/11/2014 9:28 The receiving business was closed"

I am really surprised...was there an off today??? Huh

But pls note, if validity at the time of submission was an issue, then fresh PCC needs to be sent. Few people say FBI PCC can be more than 3 months old at the time of initial submission, but I honestly don't know as I haven't required it.You wull need to check this aspect with somebody who's visited US before for more than 6 months.

Not a problem at all. YOu only need to live in Canada for 2 out of 5 years after landing to be able to maintain and renew PR. So both of you or your wife alone can move there three years after landing if your wish without any negative consequence. Anyways, you cannot exclude your wife from the application. Even if you choose your wife as non-accompanying the MR and PCC ARE required for her as well. Like I said, there is absolutely NOTHING you need to do at this moment, just get PR for both, complete the landing within the visa validity and then move to Canada within the next 3 years.

I have applied for Canada PR under FSW.
When I check my current status it says 'in process'. It says the application has began processing since Sept 8th.

However I have not received any communication since then.

Need help. Is this normal? Anyone else like me?

You can provide a hotel address to obtain SIN. It is issued on site at Service Canada office. Use a friend's address for PR card.

I think CIC deserve your thanks more than I do. Despite so heavy work-load, and so many challenges, they've always shown flexibility to help applicants succeed in their dream of migrating to a North American country called Canada!
