This certainly sounds scary!

Do people go to work during this kind of harsh weather? -20 C or work from home or just skip the work?

And more importantly, does the heating systems work at these low temperatures?

Bro 36 millions people live in canada, i think this proves that people can bear the winter weather and yes they have equipments to keep you warm in cold winters.... not only canada there are part of USA which experience such weather so you can add 30 millions more...

so if more than 60 million people live in such conditions, which is again equivalent to population of UK which is 64 million.... and are prosperous then there is nothing to worry.... I am waiting to go and enjoy winter there....

Hello Guys, I am bit confused. My app was received on 22/05/2014. DD Charged: 10/09/2014. ECAS updated as 'In Process'. But I haven't got PER yet. I contacted CIO and they said, your file was transferred to NDVO. Now, NDVO has emailed me that:


This application was received in New Delhi on September 24, 2014 and is currently in the queue for review by an officer. As soon as that review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants if any further documentation or information is required.

On every email they mention Application No: E000*****

I am not sure what that means ????? Have I already got PER and overlooked my emails or they are still verifying from my employers and academic institutions.

Hello,

My initial application was returned on the grounds "insufficient evidence of work duties for primary NOC". In the returned application, CIC had written UCI in pencil on the Generic Application form. I have re-sent the application with a letter of my current duties/responsibilities from my employer. My questions are thus:-

1. I have mentioned the UCI on the new application, will it bypass/leapfrog the queue and give me some priority/leverage.

2. I am NOC 2171 and want to know my chances as I hope its not too late.

Did you get charged and later they returned your file?

I have been reading mixed comments, just want to ask which of the following documents need to be "CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES" and which should be "JUST COPIES":

1. Copies of Passports (in English)
2. Copy of Work Experience Letter from the Employer (in English)
3. Copies of Foreign Educational Credentials (In English) (accompanied by original ECA from WES)
4. Copies of documents from Relative in Canada (passport, Tax, bill, bank statement, etc) (In English)
5. Bank Certification Letter (In English)
6. Identity & Civil Status Documents (Bilingual, one of them is English)
7. Children info (BCs, bilingual on of them is English)
8. PCC (English)

I am new to this forum. I have applied for fsw 2014 and recently received MR. Between I came to know that my wife is pregnant for last 35 days. What should I do now? can I communicate with NDVO - LVO. Wat will be their reply any ideas?? Pls share your views.

Just go for medicals and tell doctors about it, rest they will take care.....as your have already got medical requests....

I submitted PCC along with my application. PCC was 9 months old at the time of application. I received my MR & RFPR on Oct 31st. The PCC on file is over 14 months old at this time. However CPC-O did NOT ask for a new PCC. I am saying this so it cheers up anyone who might be in the same situation.

I have one question.

I have been waiting for my stamped VISA for already 12 business days. I have checked they haven't sent back my passport yet. (through Canada post express tracking log)
I would like to know how long is the normal processing time for them mail back the passport. (VO: CPC-Ottawa)

Here's my timeline:

App. file sent: May 20th
CC charge: Sept.2nd
File no. got: Sept.9th
PER:Sept.9th
Med Exam Request: Sept.24th
Landing Fee Request: Sept.24th
Med Exam Done & Sent: Oct. 1st
Landing Fee Sent: Sept.24th
Passport Request: Oct. 14th
Passport Sent: Oct. 15th
Passport Recieved: Oct.20th
