Actually, all applications will pass through three consquetive stages in CIO:
1- Completness check: if the application found to be incomplete, it would be returned without encashment of the fee.
2- Enchachment and Eligibility review: CIO officer will check if you have at least one year experience in one of the 50 jobs mentioned on FSW list. If the applicant fails at this stage, they will be refunded.
3- Selection and Admissibility: here CIO officer will check if the applicant gathers 67 points according to factors like age, years of experience in the main NOC or other NOCs, language abilities, and education...... If the applicant failed to reach 67 points, there would be no refund.

"If the initial assessment of your score for points against the selection factors is equal to or greater than the pass mark, your application will be sent by the CIO to the appropriate visa office for further processing and a final decision. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, or do not meet the pass mark against the selection factors, your application will be refused. In either case, a refund of processing fees will not be issued at this stage of the application process." Quoted from Instruction Guide on CIC website.

I have also the same case; Can anybody help out when should i inform my VO regarding the passport change? By now, i have received PER and my ECAS status is 2nd line indicating "We have started processing your application"

Can we safely conclude that this "completeness check" (your point 1) is now over for July applicants if they've not had their applications returned till today? And is it that the next logical step for such candidates would be "eligibility review" (your point 2) followed by PER?

Yes, dear. Completness check for July applicants must have been finished because there are one or two cases of rejections reported in this forum for August applicants, and I think CIO is speeding the process of checking the completness of the received applications. I think there will be no wonder if we hear that they start checking September applications (I mean stage one only ) soon. another expectation is that the coming cap update will be based on completness check, so it may include all August applicants, so we may witness a giant leap in numbers, maybe 3000 or 4000 other received applications, but this is just my intution, and we have to wait and see what is gonna happen.

CC charging will be known as you get alert. For DD you dont get alerts. If you observe, both of mode of payments are getting PERs at the same time. If one can hold on to their desperation for a couple of weeks, DD is the safest payment mode.

hello Guys,

I'm 8th of may applicant, CC charged on 9th July, and PER received on 19th of August, my Visa office is London LVO, untill now I have not revived any medicals request, should i be worried? is there anyone who is in the same boat?

I emailed LVO and they replied with a basic template, which really doesn't say anything special except may be I can confirm that they have my file..

I have send fsw form on 02/09/2014 and my file got reached to cic on 09/09/2014 but I think I forgot to attach last page of form schedule A background declaration .Pls guide what should I do shall I wait or write down a mail to CIC regarding the same.

Make another package along with cover letter, explain you forgot your docs which you are sending along with. Send them using the date of receipt of your application package, mention POD number, delivery date, in the cover letter put your major details and ask them to add the additional docs to your application
