Sorry to be negative, but practically speaking if you are applying now then there are no chances of getting into the cap. As 2173 might be already filled up by applicants who had sent their applications before end of August or mid of September.

You can try in 2172.

from so many days no CAP update from CIC so and till now 425 CAPs filled for 2173
so what do you think is there any chance of getting into CAP if I put my file today??

My application received date is 11th Sep 2014. I preferred DD payment (valid for 90days). Is it ok for payment or do i need to send new payment form with CC option. I'm little concern about processing time.

International DD expires after 6 months. Only National DD expire after 3 months as per RBI guidelines.

Have shown proof of funds as fixed deposit. I am married and have it in a joint FD with my mom.

Some say that this will not be considered at all and some say only 50% will be considered.
As my last name has changed post marriage.

Need your inputs, is it going to create problems for me. Or will NDVO let it go and still consider it 100%?

Hope this would not lead for rejection.

Usually all International DD will be Vaild 6 Months and thats what is required by CIC aswell so does your DD say valid for 90days

This is really weird that how NDVO is working. Applicants of later 'May' dates are getting MR request and there are still people waiting including me .
Is there any way to check the application status with NDVO ?

Yesterday i received my PER and I have few questions over here for the upcoming process:

Now my passport does not have a surname and i was thinking of updating it by properly having a surname and a first name. Also the passport has been issued about 7 years ago and my appearance has also changed a lot.

So my Questions are

• Is it ok to update the passport now with the latest name and appearance? Will i need to send updated forms to the VO if i change the passport details

• How much delay will it cause in my application

• Also if i don't update the passport is there any possible problems which i will face with the missing surname and minor change in appearance?
