Hello Forumites, I'm in a fix and need some assistance from you guys.

I have applied under the NOC 2281 for which i have a total experience of 5 Years (In two different firms). Application received date is August 27.
While waiting for my PER to arrive, I've got a good opportunity with another MNC for a more or less different kind of role and the Joining date there is Jan 13, 2015.

New Job profile is the closest to the same NOC 2281 but the Job responsibilities are just not matching with the ones in hrsdc website.
Now my question is that if I join the new company with a profile which does not match 2281, would I still be clearing the Eligibility Criteria? Would there be any problems I might face. If yes, what are the best possible solutions to still make it through.

CIC online still does not say: Medicals Received, we had it completed on 23rd October

Is it true that Landing fee of $490 per applicant is DUE within 45 days of receiving MR request from Canada?

It will be mentioned in the mail from your VO....They mention the exact date by when you need to submit documents and payment.

Express Entry will start in about two months - January 1st.

Has anybody considered that the CIO is moving much slower - including no Cap Updates - because they are training to use the new Express Entry system?

I felt really embarrassed when i called up CIO for the status of my application. They told me that we have received the application on 30th September which i sent to them on 3rd july and which was received on 9th july as per DHL acknowledgement ........

You don't have to worry so much. CIC is now working on 9th/10th apps now if I am not wrong. Your turn is next, keep calm and hope for the best.

How did you call them. I tried one number given in the forum but it is asking for application number to proceed.

This happened to me as well, I sent my file on 15th June, DHL said they delivered on 26th Jube, but CIC said that it reached on 2nd July. I think they have some courier processing centre which even though received on x date, CIC considers the date they receive on their desk which could be y date. Don't worry bro, you will get good news in few more days
