I tried to collect the Birth Certificate from Municipality in Punjab, but there are lot of issues in it.
My father and mother surname is missing and place of birth is written as Incorrect. I'm trying to rectify it from last one month, but looks like they are going to take their own sweet time.

I have 10th Certificate with my name, DOB and father's name mentioned on that. My father's name initials are mentioned i.e. 0.P xx (Surname) instead of Om Prakash xx (Surname) which is mentioned in my Passport and Marriage Certificate. Would that be an issue??
which dstrict??

Thanks for suggestions...

Which forms Vind, I checked every where, latest updated was only in August 2014. Thanks in advance.

Hi Optimist,

vind answered on my below and asked seniors to confirm:

Hi Seniors,

Request another small help... I am re-filling my forms as my previous app which i sent on 29-May was returned to me due to MISSING COPY OF SPOUSE BC.

Is there any space where I need to specify this? That I have applied in FSW-2014 and this is my second attempt?

I see a question in the Schedule A Background declaration form:

Q6. Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application ever:
d) been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de selection du Qubec (CSQ) or application to the provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any country?

Do i need to tick on Yes or No for this question?

Regards,
LB7199

I have received the following message from Canada Embassy in Paris:

This is an automated message. Please DO NOT RESPOND to this message.

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/09.

What does it mean?

Probably is an AOR...

I am 14th may applicant...received PER on 27th Aug......still awaiting MR request from NDVO

I had been endeavoring for Australian PR also for last 1.5 years before applying for Canada since the Canada PR window was closed for me at that time....

A week back, with the grace of God, I received my Australian PR Visa grant for me and my family....

Now I have some questions and apprehensions in my mind to ask with this privileged forum members....

1. Should I inform NDVO about the same?....will it impact my application in both situations, if I don't inform them or I do.......

2. Should I wait for the MR request before pursuing my Australian ventures.......

3. Which option would be better for me? Australia or Canada, Considering my area of work, branch Manager with leading life insurance company with 10 years of experience....

Would like to have suggestion on 3rd Question specially from Seniors and those who have an experience of both countries and can throw light on all aspects of life and future prospects in both countries.....Others could also give their kind suggestions, most welcome.

I would say..A very nice confusion to have :)

My suggestion would be to keep Canada option open as well and do not let it go.
You must have invested time, money and effort in getting to this stage for Canada.
Get Australian PR visa stamped. Continue with Canda process till it completes. I dont think it would impact your Candaian application if you have Australia PR visa stamped.
I am sure you would have ample amount of time on hand till then to do your research as in which country is better for your job profile.

I know somewhat about life in Australia.
If weather is of any concern to you, then Australia is better option by all means, plus it is closer to India than Canada is.

Regarding job market, I think its decent for your field of work, still I would urge you to do thorough research.
Dig up contacts through your network of friends and colleagues to get contacts in both Canada and Australia and try to get as much info as possible.

If you still can't decide, then roll the desk globe, close your eyes and stop the globe with a finger, the point which is nearest to either of them, pick that ;D

I know of some cases where there was no birth certificate, no 10th standard, no affidavit from parents mentioning date of birth. They got PR just by giving a self declared affidavit along with Passport and another ID (PAN Card, Voter ID, etc). I think one person on the forum has confirmed this too, can't recollect his ID.

Hello seniors,

Please confirm.Actually I have submitted Notarized 10th certificate as date of birth proof. So will it be considered or Affidavit is mandatory ?

One file got rejected because that applicant forgot to send his wife BC. This depend upon case to case. Better to provide affidavit along with 10th Mark sheet(certificate).

forgot to send BC is missing document. But, in the case what i have cited, they have quoted very clearly that they dont have BC and hence included self affidavit along with few other reference documents.

No issues at all go ahead with matric certificate along with an affidavit and cover all deviations and explainations in that.

You won't beleive it took me 1 year and 1 month to acquire BC from Himachal :-X
Dont delay you application because of that.... but keep BC process on

Good luck

Processing Times IN MONTHS for applications received on or after June 26, 2010 as mentioned on CIC's website below says London VO takes 27 months to process an application. Is that really how much it takes?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

There are even VOs which takes 97 months! That's really really long. While I am in no hurry to go to Canada, it'd be good to know what timeline to expect after receiving PER!

Hi Jaxon

How do you get this running banda at the end of your post...

Settlement Fund- App Recd. 2nd July- PER Pending - ECAS Status - "In Process"

Dear Experts,

I am a 2nd July Applicant under NOC: 1123

Please share your valuable comment on below shown settlement fund in the application

A) - Total Assets - INR 16,78,896 -- $ 29,980

1) INR 5,00,000 (as a Fixed Deposit)
2) INR 7,61,341 (Savings in my account- Out of which INR 3,50,000 was borrowed from father and now given back to him)
3) INR 1,85,234 (Savings in Spouse's account)
4) INR 28,400 (My Provident fund)
5) INR 68,000 (Spouse's Provident fund)
6) INR 1,26,000 (Surrender Value of LIC)

B) - Total Liabilities - INR 4,00,000 -- $7,143

So, Total Available Settlement Fund is (A) - (B) = $ 22,837

Now, would that be okay if I show valuation report of jewellery as I have
given back borrowed money to my father..??

with the help of POD no..can anyone gt any information that application received or not

sukh kaur ji,,,SSA

You can not find anything about what is happening with your application in CIC till you get PER mail with UCI no and App no.
So you can just hope for good.
Moreover without your details like application date, receiving date at cic, who received you app at cic....we cannot even predict about your PER date.
So kindly update spread sheet first. We all would love to give u a helping hand.
