Hi Guys,

Just came across this while browsing FSW2014 on google - it helps you obtain a copy of your immigration file from Immigration Canada and find out what has happened to your application so far.

http://www.caipsforyou.ca/caips-4-you.html

not really sure if this is paid or not , but looks a promising approach to follow for people whol feel their application is over delayed.

If anyone has had experience with it please do share, who knows it might help someone

This is really a nice information. Hope this is not a fraud.

$5 if a friend or relative in Canada can file this for you...the consultants charge anywhere between $25 to $40 for this. Also, this helps only if your application has reached the later stages, in my case it came out blank (no CC charge yet). The communication received indicated that there are no electronic notes for the details submitted and asked if I would like to opt for the physical notes. My relative responded with confirmation for the physical notes, not sure that this means, will keep you posted.

Hi Vind

I received PER last week. I clicked on your link to check my application status and it is mentioned there "Inprogress". What does this mean?

Hi Optimist3,

It states "This form must be completed and signed by the sponsor and common-law partner, only if the latter is a co-signer on the application" now, according to this, my wife should sign this, aint it?

Dude! Your married to your wife. hence she is not common law partner. Pls do some googling to understand what is common law partner, helps in long run as well.

Hello Friends,

Today I had my PCC done, I thought of sharing my experience for the same, hope it helps other fellow members.

PSK Location: - Jalandhar (India)

Prerequisite: - Need to take an appointment for the PCC, I took it one day prior.
Note: - For some PSK there is a direct walk-in facility for PCC, between 9 -11 AM.
We can check, whether appointment is required for particular PSK, from the link
http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink (check on right side “Passport Office Connect” dropdown.)

Documents required: - Appointment printout + Passport
Note: - One week prior they were also asking for “Document Checklist” + “Notarized Affidavit”, but now they need only valid passport.

Time: - Not more than 1 hour, for me it took 2 hours to receive as 1-2 PM is the lunch time for government officials (As they are the people who will hand the PCC, rather than TCS employees).
Note: - Incase Your Passport is issued 1 year prior to date of PCC, and then you won’t get the PCC on the same day. It will take on an average of 20 days to complete the process. Police verification will happen (Be ready to pay money), they will submit the report back and then you will be intimated to collect the PCC.

Dear seniors and experts,
