Hi Deviim15,

To become a citizen Time you have lived in Canada

You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before you apply. This does not apply to children under 18.

You may be able to count time you spent in Canada before you became a permanent resident if it was during the past four years.

Use our online tool to find out if you have lived in Canada long enough to apply to become a citizen.

Please refer the below link

I read this article....

Hi deviim15 that is a third party site, while applying for Citizenship we need to refer the CIC web site and need to follow their guidelines.

An FBI-approved Channeler may only process requests for a U.S. person (an individual who is a citizen of the U.S. or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.). A lawful permanent resident is any person not a citizen of the U.S. who is residing in the U.S. under legally recognized and lawfully recorded permanent residence as an immigrant (also known “Permanent Resident Alien,” “Resident Alien Permit Holder,” and “Green Card Holder”).

So the questions is, are you a U.S citizen or a permanent resident?
Having a H1-B or F1 Visas does not count.

thanks - I am on H1B - So not eligible

but my next question is

I am going to apply for my FBI clearance tomorrow but seems like, it will be take more than 60 days, which is the deadline CIC has given to me.

what are my options ... can I ask for extension for FBI clearance??

Thank you so much your response, I do understand that there are other organisations doing evaluation but it is really difficult to get the documents signed by controller of examinations again as I no longer reside from where I completed my education. It will more time to do the whole process again and also ICAS and other companies take 15 weeks time. However I do get more than 67 points with my Diploma.
Age 12 points
Education 19 with Diploma
Work experience 15 points. 8 years
Adaptability 5 points, sibling in Canada
Language 17 points

Regards

68 points...hmm... then go ahead and apply ..check with WES once more..last call... if you have an email verification that WES report was different than your physical copy.. send it along with the cover letter... and apply! Good luck!

The new rules, which are more strict, will be effective on June 2015. This is why you can't see them on CIC website. But the new law has already been approved.
