Hi fellow applicants

It seems that there are some duties and responsibilities that overlap between two NOC codes, 2281 and 2171.
In my case I chose 2171 because as an IT Analyst with a bachelor degree, I considered it more suitable for me.
I saw that 2281 was more for NETWORK (LAN, WAN, Switched) duties and for technicians. 2171 seemed to fit more with my responsibilities dealing with IT Servers infrastructure in a more senior role with datacenters.

I am worried now if this represents a problem in my already sent application.

I would like to have some feedback from our seniors here.

Thank you.

Applying in two categories maximizes the chances of getting selected. The main problem is you need to gather all required documents twice and follow the document check list step by step. For example, if you have only one original copy of your ielts you should request a second copy because CIC will treat each application separately and is mandatory the original. Another thing will be application fee, in both cases application fees should be paid. In a later stage one of the applications will be dismissed and you won't get your money back. So my opinion is: select the noc where you have more chances of getting selected. Also look for the coldest one. Hope this helps.

Hi! I'm new to this forum,I've send my application on 5 August under NOC 0113,but as i was new to this job,my current employer refused to give me the reference letter until i complete at least 6 months of association with them,as now I've successfully completed this tenure they have issued me the reference letter with every needed detail. I want to ask that should i send this document to CIC along with my PCC, which i didn't submitted with my application. Help sought.

Hi seniors
I am worried ,why CIC has not update the cap table yet?
my documents are not ready yet ...but by the end of Oct I will send my application ( 2281)
I need an estimation for 2281 cap

Try sending an email scan of your documents to CIO with a cover letter and all details pertaining to your application. An applicant who received reply to his CSE from CSU confirmed that they are accepting addendums in electronic form. You will get an answer in 35 business days. However, there's also a chance that they have done completeness check for 1w-2w of August already and rejected your application for not providing JD (IRPA 10).

The spreadsheet has three scenarios regarding caps, check it out.

And what about the minimum experience of 1 year? Because it's mandatory to have at least 1 year of proven experience in one of the 50 NOCs, in this case 0113. He is only demonstrating 6 months so he is not eligible I think.

So Only 2 PERs today and 1 CC charged (according to the SS)

I think maybe CIC is in mourning because of the last events... They are not working at all today... :(

Seniors,
Has anyone done their FBI clearance. How long does it take to get one.
Can I mention my relative's address in another state ( I am in California , done the local ink fingerprint from CA police station) , I will moving out of CA shortly... my relative permanently lives in NJ...so in the FBI application form a.k.a Cover letter ( need to be sure of that too), can I specify his NJ address as the mail results to address.?

Regards,
Andy
