This is my first post here. I have been a silent listener for a while. And you guys are doing a fantastic job. I enjoyed the humour, the panic and the frustration expressed sometimes by members. I think I am kind of addicted to this forum.

I am a Nigerian in the diaspora, while I found the initial post about Nigerian scam distasteful, I don't think any one should be hung up on that. We should respect the diversity in this forum.

And to my fellow Nigerians I give you a quote from our national anthem

" though tribe an tongue may differ, in brotherhood we stand" and in my case in sisterhood I stand .

So common folks lets move on from this.

My application reached on 20th Oct. Received by DAN. GOD IS GREAT.
I guess I have to wait now for 2-3 months until my application is checked. Correct.

What is the next phase.
Can anyone explain how this will proceed from here.

I have a little concern please. The place of birth on my child's int'l passport is different from what is on his birth certificate. Can this affect my application or should I just go ahead and do court affidavit ? Even though my file is with my Local Visa Office now and I've been requested to update my record.

It will not reach cap I suppose.......better be late than sending wrong or incomplete file

I am really anxious about cap limit in 2281.

My file is getting delayed due to Birth certificate issue ( though I have the birth certificate , but parents's name there are some spelling mistakes ) , now due to Diwali time in it is getting delayed by govt. agencies in INDIA.

If all fine , my file be in hands of CIC by 15 Nov. only.

Still there would be any chance for me to be in cap limit.

Thanks but no need to be concerned for me. Other than correcting the mistake of the person who thought I had posted the joke, I haven't even paid attention and I've mostly skipped over the posts on this topic. FTR the joke didn't bother me but whether it did or didn't I wouldn't get into a big argument about it. I'm here to discuss, support and help and if someone doesn't like me they can -1 me all they want, I know I'm doing the right thing and I don't care about my karma score.

I am 9 may NDVO 2174 applicant PER 19
August.
1) No MR till yet.
2) No Second Line in ECAS only single line is der
"we received ur application on "" ".
Please help and suggest what i can do...is der a
way to contact or they will not reply before 22
months. ?
please help mate....shall i send them updated
PCC etc...without being demanded but this is a
very bad idea. i had earlier also sent them....
