@ Arcflash

There are couple of aspects of ur query

1. ECA: Its only for the purpose of gaining points of Education. No matter wht or how long is ur degree, u will only get points for the degree it has been equated to.

2. NOC description: The degree and Certificates/licences mentioned in NOC description are considered when these NOC are used once u r inside Cananda for preparing national statistics etc. For FSWP only (a) Lead Statement and (b) Description are important and considered. I don't have access to the link right now which specifically states that but it has been shared/discussed in initial days of the forum (May 2014). We have example of many candidiates who got PER, when they had degree in one NOC and work experience in other. Nonetheless, related degree/certificate strengthens your case for particular NOC e.g. if a doctor shows that he has been working in some management related NOC........ he will be open to more scrutiny but will definitely not result in outright rejection because he does not have management related degree as stipulated in NOC.

Thanks o_o, i've read the FSW application guide and what i understand is that education must have equivalency in Canada and the table shows only in claiming of points.
I completed 5 years degree in Electrical Engineering in the Philippines but the WES result shows an equivalent to 3 years diploma. My work experience duties are dominant for NOC 2133 though I can apply to 2241 as well. Due to confusion and i understood that it is a point system, so I decided to apply for 2133. I'm just worried but some forumers says ECA report would just a secondary to support that the education obtained outside has an equivalency or recognised in Canada.
Thanks anyway for your view. CIO received my application 17 Sept. :(

Is there anyone here who have the same case and get approved?
Thank you.

Cheers!

hi seniors ..
was just wondering what the processing time for PER is ?
if my CC was charged yesterday, how long do you think it will be before i receive the PER?

can't really say. Some people receive in 3-4 days while few have recd after 1 month of PER. But on an average it would be safe to assume around 10-15 days time after per.

Sorry for late reply as I m on diwali leaves and enjoying festival season with my family.

Well in my MR mail I have received 4 requests.
1. Photocopies of valid passport front and back pages only.
2. Pcc request (as per my info which should not be 3months old at the time when I m sending it to NDVO.)
3. RPRF FEE in the form of dd or online payment receipt.
4. Medical completion receipt as the will be uploaded by the doctor.

They have sent me a letter which contains all above requests. So I have to send that letter along with above requests.

Hi century
How are u man. . As I m away from my computer so requesting you to please do me a favour by checking if my updated entry in MR received is done. As this was my second entry can u please delete the old one.
Thanx in advance

Hi Karan,

I believe the second statement what you mentioned is wrong. Please find the CIC website guidliness below;

"Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one."

According to my understanding, if you send your PCC along with your application to CIO, it should not be three months older than the sent date. Because most of the PCC issued from the authority are not specified about any date to which its valid only thing is that its valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Best Regards

Nair :)

Hi Seniors,

I got my PCC done, But the certificate is only given till the applied date that is oct 17th, Police said they cannot give PCC with any future dates, Will that be an issue?? As I am yet to get MR & PCC email request and if it delays for a month or two can i send the same or do i have to wait for 6 months again. Police said that they will not renew the current and we need to reapply and that too only after 6 months.

ECAS says we started processing on oct 16th.

Please let me know

your consultant is wrong.

After medicals, we have 1 year for landing process to be completed. If CIC takes 3 months after PPR, then they are taking away 3 months from us. That will not be the case definitely.

I did not said after PPR it will take 3 months.

NVDO can take 3 months to issue PPR after your medicals have been received.

Hi Nair,

I dont think PCC can be given for 1 year validity..Today morning i spoke to the police guy and he said it can be given only till you application date, If there is an year validity you are free to do anything unusual as we will have a police clearance for an year. I am not sure how CIC wants it ad am also lost, I am not sure if i have jumped the gun,, I am yet to receive MR

Hello guys,

I am seeing many applications are getting rejected due to "job duties are not matching with Lead statement". I want help from senior members to understand about how important the lead statement is and what is its relevance? If the Job duties are matching but lead statements are not exactly matching then what are the chances to get the file rejected?

Thanks for replying,
