It will be hard to find an Egyptian member like this,

But I hope you get to read this, you need to visit a bank branch, where they deal in Forex (Foreign Exchange), and you hold an account, do carry your documents, like passport, citizenship proof, reason for the transaction, and the cheque book, pass book etc.

You will be asked to fill a form stating the reason to buy the CAD, and then the Demand Draft will be made by them in CAD.

DD is the best method to pay and I hope this posts helps.

Thanks bro for your reply,so what the banks told me is correct where I've to deposit CAD in the account in order to have the DD with CAD amount. just wanted to make sure that I get the right info from the banks.

I believe the SS amounts to more than 30%, which would be good to everyone, since that would mean the optimistic estimate is closer to reality :)

My theory about it is the following:

- There are 1335 apps on the spreadsheet that have gotten charged or more
- There are 945 apps submited between May and July on the spreadsheet with status "at CIO". If, like it has been almost universally accepted, the caps are based on completeness, and if completeness has covered all july apps (they could be even more), these would have to be added as well.
- Some of those apps with status "at CIO" will be rejected, so lets account just 80% of them (756). That would give us 1335+756 = 2091 apps on spreadsheet already counted towards all caps
- Total apps in cap according to CIO is 5223, so 2091/5223 = 40% of apps on spreadsheet counted towards cap

Bottom line: keep an eye on the spreadsheet and if you are already in it, keep it updated. The data in there is of more significance than we may think and keeping it updated provides a lot of help to those who are at early stages.

What's troubling me is the fact that the SS has almost none Chinese applicants, that according to CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/annual-report-2013/section2.asp constitute the top source country for Canadian immigration. And this forum is mostly Indian, just look at NDVO apps' figures in SS figures.

what r speculations for 2132(mechanical engineers) that till which dates applications will b safe and fall in cap? till now 376 are there in cap

Until we have a clear picture of what the cap is all about (c-check / PER), any speculation on that issue would be far-fetched.

Dear Seniors, in regards to the ref letter i may have the following case:

I worked for 2 employers and both of them are providing generic experience letters without the needed details by CIO. So I think in having this self-declared ref letters for both employments. for the first employer, I'll use my supervisor details as he is still working there. The issue is with the other employer where my ex-manager also left the company since 2009 (I worked there from 2005 to 2009), so will it be possible to refer to him and add his private email address and personal mobile phone number and mention this in the cover letter (tell the CIO offices that both of I and my manager left the company on 2009 - my manager left 3 months before I leave)? will it also be Ok to have two self-declared ref letters (No employer letter heads)?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Certainly its not about completness check..probably about charging or PER...tie between charging and PER

Second Line updated I dont know exactly when that happened.

Will update SS shortly

2. We started processing your application on October 16, 2014.

Any idea how long for MR?

Dear Awesome forum members and seniors,

I just checked my status online and there is a second line was added "We started processing your application on October 16, 2014". I put CPC-Ottawa as visa office since I have been in US for more than 3 years and I never heard of a applicant in this visa office got his second line added, all the applicants got their MR after PER without a second line. Do you have any idea what it means? I have not got MR so far. I start worrying because every applicant according to SS got MR with this issue. Is it positive sign? Please share your thoughts

PER: Sep 15, Applicant date: May 22

I tend to agree but it's a matter of discussion :)

If you apply this year your Application will be processed on FCFS basis .. provided you meet the Cap 8)
EE 2015 / EOI ... will be based on merit and its a black -box at the moment ! :P

What is this EE??What would be a best choice - to apply via 2172 this year or apply for EOI in January 2015?/

my process consultant suggested me that I can apply via EOI - wat is the difference between applying this year and next year. Please suggest.

Hello!!! I'm just waiting for my WES report scheduled to be completed on nov 12,2014. I am worried that NOC 3012 might reach the cap by the time my application reach the CIO. Is there any other NOC i can apply for to be safe?
