Seniors, one question just popped up...

In Generic form, for "Place of Birth, City/town", i mentioned as " Hyderabad". How ever i just notice on my BC as "Secunderabad".

BC is given by "Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad".

Will this be any problem...

hyderabad and secunderabad are twin Cities. So hopefully shouldn't be an issue.

[size=10pt] Am slightly diverting from the main topic here, but the people who are applying under IT categories (2173,2174, 2172 etc) and people who are applying under managerial categories (typically NOCs starting with 0***), they might have heard about the requirement for Canadian experience and hence the need to upgrade their education. (typically people who have worked as IT Project Managers/IT Program Managers/Business Consultants/Management Consultants/IT advisory Consultants/Software Engineers/Team Leads/Strategy Consultants/Financial Consultants etc etc. I have four questions for them as below

1- What are the courses and universities and programs you guys are considering to upgrade yourself to make your CV Canada worthy?

2- Should we start a whtsapp group or Facebook group to Network and know about the possible educational upgrade options that we have?

3- As in point 2, if there is already any such network group on whtsapp/facebook etc., can anyone send me an invite or add me to that group? I would be very grateful.

4- If there is no such group existing presently, let me know and I will start one on either whtsapp or Facebook.

Thanks Guys
** PM me your details if you guys wanna be a part of such a group, should I start one. So that I can add you up.

If you have been observing CIC for some time you would probably agree that a lot of their steps are far from being logical. So neither your nor my assumption can be empirically proven at this moment.

So if you are not sure about it, no need to terrify the others here , keep it inside my friend

- Reduced the font size of the OP.
- For the IT market, I believe Vendor Certifications add weight to your profile, be it in Development or Administration.
- Therefore one needs to identify his/her current are of expertise and experience and decide upon which skill or set of skills could be the best to certify and/or upgrade with a certification.
- I don't think there will be a common denominator as far as educational courses or certifications are concerned, even if there are 2 people and both are developers (1 could be a Java developer while the other could be a Web Developer etc). So this depends upon your target Job, current expertise and previous work experience.

Hi Friends,

I am almost ready to submit my application package. Just wanted to check about the Fee Payment Form. I am making the payment through Demand Draft. Do I need to sign my Fee Payment Form?

I have read about a lot of applications being rejected as the applicants forgot to sign the same. However, there is no space provided for signing and dating the Fee Payment Form.

On similar lines, even supplementary information - travel form does not have option for putting sign and date.

How should I proceed further? Please help. :-[

Hello Forumities

I need an emergency help
some ppl say CIC will do background check to ensure about our work experiences and they call to some of the companies who have provided our reference letters
is that true or its just a rumor?if its true , whom they gonna talk to ? HR ? CEO ? do they ask whether we have just worked there or not ,or they wanna know about our responsibilities with detail ? has anyone ever been subjected to background check ? have you ever heard anyone with such experience ?

Why so much of anxiety ? Relax. Even if they do enquire, what is the issue as long as you have not provided false info amounting to fraud ? Let them do their work the way they want to.

BTW, background check is done for cases generally where VO feels something is fishy, Not all cases.

I m a 9th June applicant, I m not sure about others but YES my company HR did received a verification call when my file was at CIC. They ask about my designation, Job duties, my character and my pay....

so you mean verification gets done before issuing PER? I was under the impression that local visa offices are responsible for this once files gets transfer to them.

Thanks, Century :) They called me and told I dont have that much international credit limit
Do you know if I can pay in CAD DD?
If INR, I feel there will be difference in conversion rate when they encash the DD. That might leads to some issues.

Speak to the bank and get the international limit raised immediately if these are initial fees with application..

In case of RPRF fees, these can be in INR at Rs 26,700 per adult and NIL for minors.

Check the link for calculating IELTS points

Over a period of time you will get so conversant that you will not require this calculator.

Friends,

can you share with me a sample template of a ref letter that will be signed from my direct manager in a previous employer as the HR is not providing the detailed letter, they just gave me a very generic one.

Thanks in advance.
