Sorry but this sounds like wrong information. We live in US and our friend last year went to Canada (for landing) to get his PR card. Do you mean to say that Indians Living in USA can NOT send their indian PP to Canadian Consulate via Fedex or USPS? My office is New Delhi,VO: so what are my options in that case?

You might wanna do some research my friend. I am 110% sure on what I am saying.

Looks like you misunderstood my comment. What I am trying to say is it is illegal to mail Indian Passport out side your country of residence. It is illegal according to India law. Indian living anywhere in world cannot mail there passport outside their country of residence.

So if you are in States and if you VO is NDVO, then at the time of passport request you have to request NDVO to do stamping procedure in any of Consulate General of Canada located inside USA.

I just Hope Express Entry doesn't slows down FSWP 2014's processing

NDVO has actively started processing applications only from 1st week of September. Hopefully they clear their backlog soon and we get to hear the good news sooooon. Goodluck

I received my PER on 22nd August. Still no sign of Medical requests from NDVO. :(

Dears, I have a question please..

what should be written in the DD ? I issued one from my bank in Cairo but I feel it's not correct. It's mentioned there the amount and the beneficiary name and name of a bank ( COMMERZ BANK AG ) but this bank is not having any branches in Canada.. Does the DD need to be directed to a bank that is working in Canada or what ?

Please help me understand as I'm feeling lost.. Thank you

My understanding is a little differrent here.

From what i know, mailing an Indian passport in and/or out of India is not permitted by law - in India.

On the other hand mailing Indian passport across International borders (except India) is fine. My cousin and his wife are living in the UAE (so am I) and their VO was London. They used a courier service to mail their PP to London from Dubai and they received it back within 4 weeks after stamping.

Since i am a UAE resident as well but my VO is Delhi, i will have to either be in India for the entire duration of the stamping or request the VO that my stamping be transferred to Abu Dhabi VO.

Oh wow, you might be right my friend, thanks for this valuable information because i did not know about it. I think what my friend living in USA might have done is that once he got passport stamped at Canadian embassy in USA, then he would have gone to Canada --> The landing process and then received his PR in canadian address mailbox. Is this sounding correct?

But in my situation, i just got my passport stamped with canadian visitor visa (do i still need to send PP for stamp?), also, i got a renewed indian PP and have notified NDVO about it.

Also note that the Canadian HC in India will only mail the PP back to a domestic address and not an international address.

Therefore, even if you succeed in sending your PP via a courier service to India from USA (for example), since there are some courier companies which do this but bear no risk of delivery, the Canadian HC will not be able to mail it back to you if the address is not domestic.
