Thanks for taking the initiative, want to understand on job prospects for new comers in Canada. Have heard a lot about Canadian Experience is that a truth or just a myth and job search only depends on a persons credentials...

Canadian experience is a very important part of getting jobs. Experience outside north america is not considered of too much importance. having candian education helps in comparision to foreign degrees.
I have encountered two types of situation with employers
1. Those who care only about your knowledge specifically for technical positions IT/ Engineering. Make u go thru 2 3 rounds of technicals and if u pass those they wouldn't care too much about ur credentials
2. Some companies are sticklers for Canadian education and experience in which case u have to update ur education or slug it out building ur experience in canada

Currently job market for software developers is quiet slow in Canada
Vancouver BC and Toronto are the hotspots for ur field Ur husband should also have good prospects in these two cities
But being premier cities they tend to be pricy in comparision to others

Well in my case, i have American BS in Computers and American MBA, so no canadian company can deny me based on the quality of my education.

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that my CC got charged just before 5 minutes and I am extremely happy.

I was eagerly waiting for my CC to be charged today as it was a day for 26th June applicants. I am one of those few lucky people who got charged today.

I am new to this forum but I'm extremely thankful to all seniors and other forum members who provide constant guidance and support to others. Hats off to you guys. Keep doing the great work. Spreadsheet is extremely good and it gives you very accurate idea of what will happen and at what time.

Since everyone at my home are sleeping right now... (3 AM in India) I am informing you guys first..

So many thoughts running in my mind so I'm not in position right now to write anything more & I'm quite sure many of us have experienced similar feelings in past....

I will update the spreadsheet soon..

I will now await for PER email. I am not much familiar with the acronyms here but I'm sure seniors will help me understand next course of actions.

When I sent my 1st application on 28th April 2014 in anticipation that it would reach on May 1, 2014 (1st day) it didn't as FedEx lost my courier and CIC refused to accept the damaged parcel. FedEx people somehow managed to return package to my home after 20 days so I resent the application and this time UPS did excellent job.

Thank you once again all of you. keep in touch and I wish all the very best to those who are still awaiting their CC to be charged.

Posts like this one give me a lil bit of hope... eventhough our apps are almost a month and a half apart from each other (september 5th here)

From the SS you were the only person applying for 2174 on june 26th.

don't forget to update the SS

Congratulations on your "money more than well spent"

Also based on the SS, there are 62 more apps (including mine) from june 30th till september 29th to be charged (which is the last date with applications sent for 2174).
As there were 183 "spots" left before the 1000 update (817 one day before) it might be possible that most of these 62 apps (if not all) will be charged and counted towards the cap.

In the spreadsheet, the entry for santosh014 mentions NOC is 2173. Did you have a second application for 2174 as well that reached CIC on June 26, 2014?

If indeed 2174 has been charged today after it has been reported that the CAP is full, then lot of things would change for many people. So please confirm

Congrats for the charge. You are on your way to get PER, almost 90%. Rejection after charge is rare.

And, your documents will be thoroughly checked after the charge state. They are only scanned for complying with CIC checklist. Points calculation and veracity of the documents will be checked at this stage. Later on, the VO will do an even more stringent check.
